Main function is to keep the body in a state

Hypothalamus

Parathyroid Glands

Develops the immune system, specifically

Increases heart rate, breathing rate and


increases blood flow to the muscles and

Produces the hormone adrenaline.

Responsible for regulating blood sugar


levels.
Pancreas
Produces enzymes that break down
sugars, fats and starch.

Responsible for transitions during puberty


(female).
Ovaries
Produces the hormones progesterone and
oestrogen.

Responsible for transitions during puberty


Testes (male).
Produces the hormone testosterone.
