General Precautions

Unpacking and setup
 Remove the scale from the box and place it on a firm, level surface.
 Avoid locations with rapid temperature changes, excessive dust, moisture, air currents, vibrations,
electromagnetic fields, heat or direct sunlight.
 NOTE: Ensure that the scale is level each time its location is changed.
 Before using the scale for the first time, the internal rechargeable battery should be fully charged for at
least 12 hours.
 Allow the instrument to warm up for 30 minutes prior to use.
 Connect the supplied AC adapter to the power input receptacle. Plug the AC adapter into a power outlet
and the battery will begin charging. Do not operate the scale with the charger continuously plugged in.
Adapter should be used only for charging purposes.
 If the scale will be stored or transported in the future, save the packaging material to ensure the best
possible protection for the scale.
 Caution: Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the manufacturer could void the user’s
authority to operate this equipment.

Weighing Operations

Operating your scale


A. Getting started
Turn the instrument on by pressing the power switch on.
The display will count down from 999999….while the unit is being updated.
Allow the unit to warm-up for 30 minutes.

B. Taring
All models have taring capabilities up to their total weight capacity.
To weigh a sample in its container, with the display showing the weight of the sample, use the following
procedure.

1. Place an empty container on pan and then press the key. The ▼ will point to the NET annunciator
and the weight display will show zero.
2. Place the sample in its container on the scale.
3. When the scale is stable, the display will show the weight of the sample.
4. After taking away the container, a minus value will be displayed on the screen. Press the key to
return to zero.

C. Zeroing

Press the →0 key before weighing the samples to zero the scale.

D. Accumulation function
1. Press the key. Put the item on the platter and press M+. Once you remove the item it will revert
back to zero. Place the second item on the platter and press M+. Repeat this for as many items as you have to
accumulate. Display will show with the weight:

3.Press the key to show the total times you weighed (i.e. ACC2 for two items) and subsequently the
total weight at the end.
4.Press the key to delete all the data in the total weight, and return to the normal weight display.

E. Programming the scale

Press the M+ key to move from Autopower to Backlight settings.

F. Recharging the battery


a. The low battery light ,“LOBAT”, will flash when it is time to recharge your battery. You can use your scale for
about ten hours from the time you are first notified that the battery needs to be recharged.
b. When the message “LOBAT” appears on your LCD screen, turn off the power switch immediately and begin
recharging the battery to prolong its life.
Notes
a. The scale has a built-in charger. Always use the adapter that came with the scale.
b. What the light colors mean:
1. RED – Need to charge the battery
2. Orange – charging is in progress
3. Green – charging is complete.
c. A complete charge takes 8-10 hours.
