General Precautions

• NOTE: Ensure that the scale is level each time its location is changed.
• Connect the supplied AC adapter to the power input receptacle on the side of the indicator. Plug the AC
adapter into a power outlet.
• If the scale will be stored or transported in the future, save the packaging material to ensure the best
possible protection for the scale.

Parts Description:

Battery Power :
The scale will automatically switch to battery operation if there is a power failure or the power cord is removed to
provide uninterrupted scale operation.
Note: When low battery is displayed, the scale will shut off after 30 seconds.
CAUTION:
Risk of explosion can occur if replaced with the wrong type or connected improperly.
Do not use the battery for any purpose other than those described in this manual.
Do not disassemble, repair or otherwise manipulate the battery.
Obey the local laws and regulations of disposing the battery.

Tare
• Weight tare: Place the receptacle (box, bowl etc…) on the scale, and when the reading is stable,
press tare key to tare the weight.
• To clear Tare, press their respective buttons.
Units key
• Use the key to shift between “kg”, “lb” and "oz" (oz is available on the KPS 2).
Hold key
• Use the key when the applied load is not a static load.
• Press the HOLD key and it will capture the reading once a stable reading occurs.
Zero Operation :
When the display shows "0", the scale is ready to weigh. If the weight of the object exceeds the capacity of the
scale by more than 5%, the display shows "0000".
Objects can be added to the pan until the overload threshold is reached. The display shows the total weight of
all objects on the pan.
Changing Units of Measure :
In the weighing mode, use [UNIT] to display the next available measuring unit. Repeat process to scroll through all
units.
Maintenance:
Cleaning :
Before cleaning, disconnect the power plug from the power outlet and remove the batteries from the appliance
to power off the unit.
• Clean with a damp cloth and a mild soap or similar agents if necessary, and buff it dry.
• Do not use any acids, alkalis or strong active solvents to clean the housing or the control panels.
Troubleshooting:

If the troubleshooting section above does not resolve or describe your issue, contact your authorized distributor.
Warranty :
Kilotech scales are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of one(1) year for the
scale and 3 months for the adapter, from the date of purchase. Please retain your receipt as proof of
purchase. Warranty expiration on products returned without proof of purchase will be determined from the
manufacturing date code or the date of shipment to the authorized dealer. Coverage may be invalidated as
this date is previous to purchase date. No other express or implied warranty is given by Kilotech.
This warranty does not apply for the following reasons: the product has been damaged by accident or misuse,
parts and products of a consumable nature, exposed to radioactive or corrosive materials, has foreign material
penetrating to the inside of the product, or as a result of service or modification by other than Kilotech.
