Note:
Note:
1) .NET Framework has limited support for the server core role of Windows Server
2008 R2 SP1 or higher version.
2) Windows Server 2008 R2 for Itanium-based systems does not support .NET
Framework.
3) On Windows Server 2008 SP2, .NET Framework is not supported in the server
core role.

6. Check the computer system configuration
When the system configuration is not within the scope of software operation
requirements, the software may not operate normally. The following demonstrates
how to check the computer system configuration. (For those who are familiar with this
process, please move to the next section)
Take Win10 system as an example here, mainly introduce the more common
checking methods, just follow the steps.
1. Turn on the computer, right click on the desktop "This PC" (windows8 and above
is "This PC", windows7 is "Computer", windows xp is "My computer"), select
"Properties", as shown in the figure:
2. In the opened properties interface, you can see the system information.
Windows 10 as shown
-5-
Windows 8.1 as shown
Windows 7 as shown
Windows XP as shown
-6-
If there is no such "This Computer"/"Computer"/"My Computer" icon on the desktop,
you can click the lower left corner of the desktop or press the Windows icon in the
lower left corner of the keyboard to open the start menu, and right click "Computer" in
the pop-up menu options, select the "Properties" option to open the system page.
7. Model confirmation
1. Front panel
(The housing of the new version 500W model is similar, but it does not belong to
the G3 series, so the software cannot be used.)
(The judgment of the new 500W version model depends on the back panel label.
See below)
2. Back panel
-7-
(R&D machine, no label)
A label is affixed to the back panel of normal machine. There are two messages
on the label: SN, PN (some written as MODEL or Model-Type). PN has three
sections: the first section of single module is MFSC, multi module is MFMC; the
second section is the maximum output power of the laser; the last section is a
number or a decimal, if the integer part is 2, collectively referred to as G2 laser, if
it is 3, collectively referred to as G3 laser. This article is talking about the G3 laser.
Note:
1. If the first section of PN is MFSC, and the second section is greater than or
equal to 3000W, no matter what the number behind the third section is, it is a G3
series high power single module product (as shown above), and the software
interface below is not applicable the model.
2. If the first section of Model-type is MFSC and the second section is 500W, no
matter what the number after the third section is, it is a G2 series single module
product, and the software below is not applicable to this model.
8. Software confirmation
There is only one G3 series monitoring software that can be used in multiple models,
-8-
and the software automatically adapts when connected.
The name of the monitoring software is G3_Series-n.n.n.n.exe, n.n.n.n represents the
version number.
The latest release date of the new version is 2020-08-19, and the version is
G3-Series-1.0.0.81.exe.
Note:
When a new version is released, please try to use the new version. If you are using a
standard model (customized products are not applicable), and find that the generation
time of the existing software version is far from the laser shipping time, please
download the latest version from our official website, named "G3_Series-n.n.n.n", the
actual version number shall prevail.

Center"-"Software", as shown below.

(1) Installation
1) Install the operating environment .NET:
The operating environment only needs to be installed once, and there is no need to
install the operating environment again when updating the host computer software.
If the system already has .NET Framework 4.6, you can skip this step without
installing it again.
For specific systems that have .NET Framework 4.6, please refer to sections 4 and 5
"System Support".
If the system does not have .NET Framework 4.6, find the .NET installation package
and double-click to complete the installation wizard.
-9-
If you do not find the NET46-x86-x64-AllOS-ENU.exe file, you can download
"NET4.6" from the official website.
The download address: http://en.maxphotonics.com/En/Software.html
If the following window pops up, it means that the operating environment has been
installed on the computer, and no need to install it again.
At this time, directly click the "Close" button in the lower right corner to close the
current window.
If the above window does not appear, you can start the normal installation, default
installation is fine.
- 10 -
2) Software installation:
Find the software installation package, double-click to run:
If the following window pops up, it means that other versions of this software have
been installed on the computer. If you want to continue the installation, you need to
uninstall the original software first.
If security software like 360 prompts to block, select Allow to avoid installation failure.
Enter the installation folder selection page, it is recommended to click "Next" directly
to install in the default path.
- 11 -
Click “Install”:
- 12 -
After the installation is completed, if you click the "Finish" button, the installation
program will exit; if you check the "Start G3-Series" and click the "Finish" button, the
monitoring software can be run immediately.
(2) Uninstallation
Click "Start"-"Control Panel"-"Uninstall a program".
- 13 -
Find the current software and right click, if there is an "Uninstall" option, click to start
uninstalling; if there is no "Uninstall" option, click "Change"-"Uninstall" or "Delete".
- 14 -
1. Confirm whether the computer hardware meets the requirements, refer to section
1.
2. Confirm whether the login computer account meets the installation requirements,
refer to section 2.
3. Confirm whether the operating system you are using is in the support list, refer to
sections 4 and 5.
4. Confirm the operating system you are using and whether the prerequisite .NET
Framework 4.6 has been installed, refer to sections 3, 4, and 5.
5. Error messages of 2503 and 2502 appear during installation, please refer to the
next section "Installation software prompts 2503 error solutions".
Check whether the laser back panel has an EtherNet interface, as shown in the figure
below (take single module as an example):
- 15 -
After seeing the EtherNet interface, take a network cable, plug one end into the laser
EtherNet interface, and the other end into the computer;
If you cannot see the EtherNet interface, it means that the current laser does not
support EtherNet connection.
Note: Since the network cable is directly connected, if the laser EtherNet interface is
used, the computer cannot use external network.
- 16 -
3) If the network cable is not plugged into the computer, or the network cable is
plugged in but the laser is not powered on, the "Network Anomaly" window will pop
up.
4) If the network cable has been connected and the laser has been powered on, but
the computer IP has not been configured, the "Network Segment Inconsistency"
window may pop up. Click "Yes" will automatically set the computer IP network
segment to suit the laser.
- 17 -
5) If the automatic IP configuration fails, the "Abnormal network connection" window
will pop up, and you can proceed as prompted.
- 18 -
In "Ethernet", right click then select "Properties".
- 19 -
Select “Use the following IP address:”, set the IP address as a fixed IP, and click the
"OK" button, refer to the following:
7) After configuring the computer IP, click the "Login" button again. If the connection
fails and you confirm that the local IP has been configured, please try to enter the
webpage to reconfigure the EtherNet interface of the laser.
- 20 -
(3) EtherNet interface webpage setting
1) After the network cable has been connected, open the IE browser and enter IP:
192.168.0.178.
2) Enter the user name: admin and password: 88888 in the login interface, and click
the "OK" button.
3) Enter the setting interface. In the upper right corner, select the language type as
"English".
4) Select "Serial", set "Baud rate: 115200"; "Operation mode: TCP Server"; "Local port:
4196", after setting, click the "Apply" button and wait for the module to restart.
- 21 -
Note: Do not modify other parameters, especially the IP address of the EtherNet
interface, otherwise you will not be able to enter the current webpage setting interface
again, and not be able to connect to the host computer monitoring software.
