I. OBJECTIVES Objectives must be met over the week and connected to the curriculum standards. To meet the objectives, necessary
procedures must be followed and if needed, additional lessons, exercises and remedial activities may be done for
developing content knowledge and competencies. These are assessed using Formative Assessment strategies.
Valuing objectives support the learning of content and competencies and enable children to find significance and joy in
learning the lessons. Weekly objectives shall be derived from the curriculum guides.
A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates understanding of how Anglo-American literature and other text
types serve as means of enhancing the self; also how to use processing, assessing,
summarizing information, word derivation and formation strategies, appropriate word order,
punctuation marks and interjections to enable him/her to participate actively in a speech choir
B. Performance Standards The learner actively participates in a speech choir through using effective verbal and non-
verbal strategies based on the following criteria: Focus, Voice, Delivery, Facial Expressions,
Body Movements/ Gestures and Audience Contact.

Competencies/Objectives Judge the relevance and worth of ideas, soundness of author’s reasoning
