CAMPFIRE SCRIPT
PART I. Opening Program
(Participants seat in a circle formation. Inside the circle, the four scouts holding a torch will stand, representing the four directions.) Voice Over: In the beginning, God created the sun, moon, and stars, then, it was not enough for him. So he created plants, and animals for man to use in for survival. But God was not happy, He finally decided to thee in the mercy to give us light. Give us light….. FIRST SCOUT: (LIGHTED THE TORCH) This light represents the spirit of scouting. He who lights of this torch will lighten the whole world. SECOND SCOUT: (LIGHTED THE TORCH) This light represents the first point of the scout oath, “On my honor, I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country, the Republic of the Philippines.” THIRD SCOUT: (LIGHTED THE TORCH) This light represents the second point of the scout oath, “To help other people at all times.” FOURTH SCOUT: (LIGHTED THE TORCH) This light represents the third point of the scout oath, “To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.” (Together they will move towards the prepared fire lay and lights it. (Campfire chief will stand.) CAMPFIRE CHIEF: As the flames point upwards so be our aims. As the logs glows, so be our sympathy As the good fire warms the circles So be our ideals warm the world.” As your campfire chief od tonight’s campfire, I NOW DECLARE THIS CAMPFIRE OPEN. (Clappings.) Scouts sing the song: The more we get together. (EMCEE comes forward and presents the scroll of campfire program). EMCEE: “Honorable campfire chief, may I present to you the scroll of tonight’s campfire.” CAMPFIRE CHIEF: (Opens the program and appreciates the scroll) “As a campfire chief, I have the right to stop any presentations that would discrete political figure, religious organizations, and bond any obscene and indecent words. By the power vested in me, I hereby appoint you as the emcee of tonight’s campfire.” PART II. Campfire Proper 1. Outfit Presentations 2. Ice Breaker PART III.
