Campfire-Script
Voice over: In the beginning, God created the universe, he created the sun, the moon, planets
and stars. Then, it was not enough for Him. So, he decided to create plants and animals
for men to use in order to survive. But God was not happy, He finally decided to create
man. Man of his own image. However, it was not an ordinary man but a scout. Lord, we
beseech thee in thy mercy to give us light. Give us light…..
FIRST SCOUT: (LIGHT HIS TORCH) “This light represents the spirit of scouting. He who
lights of this torch will brighten the whole world.”
SECOND SCOUT: (LIGHT HIS TORCH) “This light reminds us the first point of the scout
oath “On my honor, I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country the Republic
of the Philippines.”
THIRD SCOUT: (LIGHT HIS TORCH) “This light represents the second point of he scout
oath “To help other people at all times.”
FOURTH SCOUT: (LIGHT HIS TORCH) “This light reminds us the third point of the scout
oath “To make myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.”
(Together they will move towards the prepared fire lay and lights it.)
(Campfire chief will stand)
CAMPFIRE CHIEF: “As the flames point upward so be our aims.
As the burning logs glow, so be our aspirations
As the fire warms around the circle, so may the scouting
spirit shines forth around the world,
And as the gray ashes fade, so be our shortcomings.
