1.1 Tallinn borders to the Gulf of Finland to
the N and the AD is located 2.7nm SE of
the city centre. The surrounding terrain is
almost flat with minor heights. SW of the
AD a marshland gives condition of fog at
unfavourable winds.
1.2 Adjacent AD to NNE.
2. WEATHER
2.1 Maritime/continental weather type with cold
winters and warm humid summers. During
JUN-SEP lows occur and drift from Balkan
with long rainy periods.
2.2 Autumn/winter. Prevailing W wind and
lows with belonging precipitation.
Mid winter, E highs give bright days and
very cold weather. Mean MNM tempera-
tures from -5° to -10°C in DEC-MAR with
lowest temperatures below -25°C. Heavy
snowshowers may occur with NW/NE
winds due to the vicinity of Gulf of Finland.
2.3 Summer. Prevailing wind W, SW 6-10kt.
Lows from W with precipitation changing
with high pressure with sunny and warm
temperatures.
Mean MAX temperature around +20°C
