This boat is built in fiber glass reinforced plastic(FRP), which is fireproof but not incombustible. So
the engine room should be kept clean without oil stain and smear. The oil pipe of diesel engine and
outside oil pipe should regularly be checked in case of links and crack conditions cause of high
pressure. The high pressure oil pipe should be changed if its usage exceeds service time, no matter
how itis ,in case of too hot to cause fire.

3. Brief introduction of the boat
3.4 Hull
This vessel is a FRP passenger boat with its hull and superstructure are built in fiberglass
reinforced plastic.
3.2 Main Engine,Gear Box,Shaft System
This boat is equipped with 2 sets of diesel engine,

water-lubricated rubber bearings.
3.3Lifesaving and Firefighting equipment
The vessel is equipped with 6 sets of life rings,121 pieces of life jackets which included 6
pieces of children jackets fitted underneath the chair; 2 sets of 65 persons inflation life raft installed in
the upperdeck.
Set portable bilge pump, 9 bottles of 5kg dry powder fire extinguisher, 8 bottles of S kg CO» fire
extinguisher, fire barrel 2 nos, 2 sets of fire axe.
Dashboard of this vessel is equiped with 1 set fire alarm device,model:HJB-1.2 sets of smoke
detector in passenger cabin,1 set smoke detector and 1 set heat detector in the left engine room, 1 setsmoxe detector and i set heat detector in the right engi

engine room hatch have fire alarm buttons.

4.Check integrality of buoyancy cabin
‘There are 4 watertight bulkheads under main deck, separating the hull to 4 watertight cabins, That
is :aft-#2 aftpeak cabin, #2446 engine cabin, #16—#32, #32--#48 passenger cabin and VIP,
#48-—fore forepeak cabin(empty cabin). There is buoyant cabin between floor of passenger cabin and
bottom plate fitted with foam. In order to keep the watertight factor of boat, the boat should be checked
every time according to the following:
Check the integrality of watertight cabin.
Check the passenger cabin floor whether good or no,otherwise repair at once in order to prevent
polluted water enter into buoyant cabin.
Check the integrality of watertight hatch cover and watertight door.
ona) Loading progress and limitation
5.1 Max loading capacity
Max, loading capacity of this boat is 110 persons . The number of the second level(include
exposed deck) can not exceed 20 persons. Displacement in full load is 49.9t, draft in full load is 1.1m,
max draft should not exceed loading line. The freeboard of this boat should not be smaller than
1500mm no matter what condition is.
5.2 Distrubution of Passenger
The passenger cabin is 110 person, passengers can not enter in the non-passenger area.
5.3 Limitation
Passengers of this boat only allow to move around in passenger area, it forbidded to go to fore
deck,top deck,engine room and so on..
This boat is high speed sightseeing boat. When slew at full rudder, the limited rotate speed of the
engine is 1500 rpm.

6.Emergency measures in damaged condition
If the boat is damaged and flooding, the crew should stop the boat and check the damage
condition, Ask the passengers on boat be calm and take following measures:
1)The captain should arrange crew to stop flooding with the flood protection materials on boat.
2) Start water pump and draw out the water from boat.
3) if necessary, the passengers should wear their life jackets.
4) Arrange the passengers to move to opposite part of flooding hole,for example: water enters inportboard, the people move to starboard; water enters stem part, people move to fore part. Adjust the
buoyancy of boat to make it keep upright condition.
5) Ask for help with radio or telephone. If the boat still can drive, then drive it to the nearest harbor.
6) when the boat arrives port, adjust the people to get off and keep upright.

8. Introduction and operation of machine system
The vessel is equipped with 2 set of model NTA85S5-M450 marine use diesel engine. The engine is a
4 stroke high speed diesel engine. Rated power 305kw, rated RPM 1744rpm and electric starting. The
main engine is equipped with self battery changer and can self charge the starting battery. 2 sets of
model HCQ300 gear box, the ratio is 2.05:1 for forward or reverse gear. Oil tank is total 3100L,2 banks
of battery,2 sets of S0CWZ-8 marine horizontal self-priming centrifugal pump as firefighting
pump(simultaneous as bilge pump), 2 sets of CS—32H manual bilge pump. 1 set QDX15-14-1.1 set
portable bilge pump, 2 sets of100L holding tank, Propller shaft connected with gear box output directly.
The propeller rated rotating speed is 850.7rpm, propeller shaft diameter is 75mm and the material
use import high strength stainless steel. The shafting trail obliquity is 6 degree, length of shaft is
3.8m.Stem shaft is watertight installation with rubber bearing. When stern shaft tube and stern support
fitted, It should be covered with FRP in order to prevent river erosion.
8.1 Starting engine preparation
1) Read the engine instruction booklet and other relevant machine documents before start the
engine
2) Open sea valve , oil valve and all other vaives, to make sure the pipeline are smoothly through.
3) Check if the fuel oil pipe, fresh water pipe, and sea waterpipe are leaking. Check if the fuel oil
and fresh water are enough. The fuel oil should be carried sedimentation process of 48 hours,
without water and impurity.
4) Check lubricating oil on base, the oil level should get upper limit of oil gauge in standby engine
condition.
5) Check fuel oil fiter, lubricating oil filter , sea water filter and air filter to see if they are blocked,
otherwise they should be cleaned.
6) Check if there is air in oil pipe, otherwise the crew need to loosen the deflating bolt of diesel oil
filter and high pressure oil pump, till the air in oil pipe is cleaned. Then loosen the nut of high
pressure oil pipe , lift oil pump, clean the air in high pressure oil pipe
=7 Check the tighten condition of the parts, open the base of fuel oil tank to set free the valve and
* clean all waste water and sewage.
8) Check if all equipments and instruments are in initial condition, The clutch is disengaged
8.2 Operation of engine
1) Tum on power switch, move electric key to “open’, put the handle of pet cock in 1/3 of the
range, make the oil pump can supply oil, then start diesel engine.
2) After the diesel engine is started, move the start key to"0", adjust the handle of pet cock to
make rotate speed at 4/3 of rated rotate speed, cool diesel engine and make it not work high
speed or with load. The engine blank runs for 5-10 minutes with low speed, till the fuel oil and
leaving water get higher than 400C , then raise the rotate speed, operate with load.
3) Do not cranking the engine more than 15 seconds. Time between two starts should be more
than 1 minute. Continuous starts within 1 minute must be forbidden.
4) After the diesel engine started, the crew should pay attention the diesel engine if there is
leaking or abnormal noise, if the instruments and alarm light are normal, if the engine runs well,
otherwise the crew have to stop the engine and check.
5) If the engine is not used for long time or oil filter element is changed , the crew should notice
the oil pressure after starting the engine. If necessary, they should adjust the oil pressure to
specialized range.
6) In 40% rated rotate speed, forward and reverse for 2-3 times,check working oil pressure when
the direction is changed. It need 2-Sseconds for oil pressure raises to rated number. When
they are stable, the crews have to check if there is noise or leaking conditions.
7) Regularly check water temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, oil pressure of gear case.
8) Regularly check fuel oil. lubricating oil, cooling water and exhaust systems if they are leaking.
9) Regularly check operation of controiler of pet cock, RIC flexible shaft and etc.
10) Regularly check operation of stem shaft, sealing device, circling lubricating oil of stem shaft.
11) Regularly check all instruments and indicating fight to monitor the operation of engine.
8.3 Stop normally
1) Operate R/C handle to make the diesel oil engine slow down to 40% rated rotate speed, then
move it to neutral position. After it runs free for several minutes, then press the stop button till it shut
down,
2) Turn off the switch of storage battery.
3) Close bilge sea valve.
4) If the temperature is below 00C and the cooling water is without antifreeze liquid, then the crew
need to add antifreeze liquid to engine and all pipes when the boat stops.‘9. Introduction and operation of direction control
system
9.1 Steering control system is equipped with manual hydraulic pressure control machine,operated
in wheelhouse console .modet:LS 70CT-VHM60DT made in: Franch.
10. Introduction and operation of R/C and alarm
system
10.1 Engine and gear box are R/C “push-pull flexible shaft" control system, there is R/C control
device on console, and the crew can control speed and direction of the engine.
10.2 RIC control and alarm system in console and also in engine room. Instruments in
wheslhouse: rotate speed gauge, oil temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge and water temperature
gauge of engine with audible and visual alarm system.1 set sound powered telephone between
wheelhouse and engine room in order to communicate.
11. Introduction and operation of electric
equipments
The electric system of this boat is made up of AC400V and DC24V(6-Q-1954h battery , 2 pieces)
11.1 AC System
This boat has 2 sets of diesel engine:
1# Generator model: 30GFC diesel engine: TD226B-3CD(46KW 1500rmp), generator:
SB-XH-30(AC400V 30KW 50HZ 54A power factor 0.8);
2# Generator model: 15GFC diesel engine: 395ADC(19KW 1500rmp), generator:
GTH-15(AC400V 15KW SOHZ 27.1A),3 phase 4 wire.
1# Generator and the shore power is used for air-condition,fire fighting pump,fan,charger,
socket in&out door lighting, entertainment instrument.
When 2# engine is working, t isolates the air-condition electric switch which can not provide power
for ari-con.
Notice:When start load,it neend to check if 3 phase electrical. source is balanceable ,and

13.Introduction of VHF wireless radio

14, Measures in emergency conditions
If the diesel oil engine runs abnormally, the crew can stop it through brake handle near engine or
brake button in wheelhouse. After the engine is stopped emergently, the crew need to hand barring in
case it is too hot to bum down,
When the engine alarms, the crew should make clear the reasons first and cany out
measurements. For example, if it is common failure, the crew can slow down rotate speed of engine
and deal with it. If itis too dangerous, the crew should stop immediately. After eliminating the failures,
the crew then can start the engine.
If there is fire alarm, the crew should check if it is wrong alarm. If fire alarms, the crew should
decide where it is and ask the passengers be calm. The crew should shut down all exhaust and fuel oll
devices, and tum off the electric equipments. Take the nearby fire extinguisher to put out fire.
