To the glory of God, it is our pleasure to introduce the 8th edition of Kings’
Cup Football Competition. We therefore use this opportunity to thank the
church for their massive support over the last 7th edition and pray that the
gate of hell shall not prevail over the church.

As a continued effort towards furthering the expansion of the Kingdom of

God through Sports. We hereby present this letter to seek your approval and
support as we officially declare the preparation for the 2023 edition of the
competition.

AIM:

The importance of the competition cannot be over emphasized. Some of the

reasons for organizing the competition includes:

 To discover talented youngsters.

 To serve as a tool for evangelism, as football has become the language
the whole world speaks and understand irrespective of their religion.
 To develop Sport at the grassroots.
 To develop a cordial interdenominational relationship in the body of
Christ.
 To serve as an opportunity for physical fitness which goes a long way
in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, even as the scripture says, “Behold,
I wish above all things that thou prosper and be in good health even
as thy soul prospers”

LETTER OF INVITATION
Calvary greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are pleased to invite the Youths of the above named Church to participate in the
Interdenominational Sport Competition tagged, “King’s Cup”.

The Sports Competition’s draws is scheduled for SUNDAY 25th of JUNE, 2023 by 1:00pm
while the competition will commence on SATURDAY 1st OF JULY, 2023

The Competition aims to;

 Discover talented youngsters.
 Serve as a tool for Evangelism, as football has become the language the whole world
speaks and understand irrespective of their religion.
 Develop Sport at the grassroots.
 Develop a cordial interdenominational relationship in the body of Christ.
 Serve as an opportunity for physical fitness which goes a long way in maintaining a
healthy lifestyle, even as the scripture says, “Behold, I wish above all things that thou

 RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. The form fee is N20, 000. Payments should be made on/before the draws.
2. Please kindly return the forms before the commencement of draws.
3. Each Team officials must attend a compulsory orientation workshop few weeks before the
competition. The date of which would be communicated in due time.
4. Youths are expected to be Godly and well behaved. Every team player and sport officials
should be highly respected.
5. Team players are expected to adhere to the rules of the game.
6. Using of machinery or any form of impersonation will lead to disqualification of the team.
7. Only first, second and third team will be awarded, alongside with the highest goal scorer, best
goal keeper, most valuable player, and fair play team.
8. Fighting, Argument and cursing is highly prohibited violation of which may lead to the
disqualification of the team involved
9. Yellow card attracts N500 fine while red card will attract N1,000. The Fine has to be paid
immediately after the match.
10. Every players of the team represented in the competition must be fully kitted with necessary
items such as jersey, boots and hose etc.
11. Every team represented must have their own Medical Crew/First Aid team of two personnel.
12. PLEASE NOTE that presentation of Cup, Medals and Prizes would be done at the Host
Church during a Sunday Service.
13. Each team should be made up of Twenty (18) Players and Four (4) Officials.
14. Any player that causes violence or display any form of arrogance would be handed over to the
security personnel for appropriate disciplinary action Non-Refundable Penalty of Charge
N3,000
NB:
 Any act that violates the rules and regulations as outlined above would lead to total
disqualification of the team involved.
 There will not be any extra time for any reason in all of the competition but penalty shootout
would be used to judge such a match after 90 mins of play.
 Forms must be returned on or before the 26th of June, 2022. Team must be at the pitch 45
minutes before kickoff, failure to do so will result in automatic work over.
 Kindly come with teller of payment as evidence on the date for draws.

Based on the major aim of this competition is to do evangelism, we solicit your

support in engaging in the evangelism department of the church to be fully involved and

available in all the weekends of the competition.

We need the support of the Evangelism basically in the following ways:

 A speaker to address the two teams for just 5mins before each competition.

 At least two members of the team to make fliers available at the venue of the

matches per match.

Calvary Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

use of the mobile police football pitch as the venue for our annual Kings’ Cup Football Competition.
The competition is billed to hold for 5 weekends between 1th JULY and 30h JULY, 2023.
