I. Objectives
At the end of this lesson, students are expected to:
a. define seam and seam finishes
b. identify the different types of seams and seam finishes
c. sew different types of seam and seam finishes, and
d. appreciate the importance of seam and seam finishes in garment construction

A. Pre-discussion Activities

 The teacher will greet or ask the class “How is your day?’’

1. Motivation

 The teacher will start the discussion by introducing the topic by the use of
motivation games.
 The teacher will present a game “Guess the word/s” using the slide deck
presentation, together with a picture which will describe the word/s

 The teacher will ask question in connection to the game and will ask for at

 After the students gave their thoughts and guesses. The teacher will then
start the lesson using PowerPoint presentation for further discussion of
different types of seam and seam finishes.

 The teacher will show a video presentation on how to sew different types
of seam and seam finishes.
IV. Activity

 The teacher will present an example garment to the class for students to
identify what type of seam/seam finish is used on the garment.
