Introduction:
 The On-the-Job Training seeks to give students meaningful learning

opportunities through hands-on experience in the actual workplace. It gives

students "real-workplace" job experience, preparing them for technical,

vocational, and life skills. It enhances and develops new abilities. Students

that participate in OJT will develop new skill sets and enhance their current

capabilities.

Through OJT, students may also learn more about themselves and

jumpstart their professional development. It also gives student trainees a

chance to learn more about the field of their choice and apply what they have

learned in school to practice.

New graduates could find it difficult to adjust from being students to

working-class people. For this reason, educational institutions provide on-the-

job training to assist students in acquiring 21st-century skills and preparing

them to explore their chosen professions.

On-the-Job Training prepares students for the real world by

training them how to work in a company and eventually excel in a certain job.

The school must make sure that pupils acquire a range of skills so that they

are prepared for the workplace as future professionals.

 DLD ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING SERVICES

DLD Electrical Engineering Services (DLDEES) is a sole proprietorship

business owned by Engr. Darwin Lambino De Asis PEE, REE, RME.
Located in Mendiola St. UEP Zone 3, Catarman Northern Samar. They offer
services such as:

● Electrical System Design Layout – They prefer system design layout

considering client’s preference yet complying to the Philippine

Electrical Code’s Latest Edition

● Electrical System Design Analysis – They Create electrical system

design analysis before installation to ensure that the electrical system

can operate reliably and safely in both regular and emergency
situations.

● Fire Detection and Alarm System – They prepare system for fire

detection and alarm which ensures its effectivity and accuracy during
unwanted incidents particularly fires.

● CCTV Detection, Supply & Installation – They guarantee the

security of our clients by means of creating an efficient CCTV layout,

providing unlimited supply and proper installation.

● Power Supply (Generator and Transformer) Testing and

Commissioning – They come up with adequate electrical testing and

commissioning complying to Philippine Electrical Code’s latest edition.

Training Program

1st week of OJT: Designing

Compilation of all the requirements needed for OJT, so we can start

our internship & Redesign a simple electrical design of an indigent residential
house using AutoCad.
2nd-3rd week of OJT: Circuit Tracing

Circuit tracing of panel board from 1st floor - 3rd floor and checking if
both lighting and convenience outlet are okay in every room

4th week of OJT: Outlining

Outlining the position of electrical equipment in preparation for the as-

build of the Academic Building.

5th week of OJT: Installation

Installation of wall fan in the academic building from the 2nd floor,
cluster 1-6.

6th week of OJT: Installation & Editing

Installation of wallfan in the academic building from 3rd floor, cluster 1-

6. Assigned to help editing the lighting and power layout, the actual number of
lighting and Convenience outlets as well as A.C.U, EM lights, wall fan, and
wall lamps in the academic building

7th week of OJT: Installation

OJT Orientation

Week 1: Redesigning

First week of our OJT, I feel nervous with excitement because this is the time

to gain lot of knowledge and experienced in my OJT related to my dream

course . On my first day, the task that Engineer De Asis give me is he put me

on the CAD Group to help them finish redesigning the asbuilt of a two-story
 mixed use Residential & Commercial Building. Redesign a simple electrical

design of an indigent residential house

using AutoCad.

Week 2-3: Circuit Tracing

2nd - 3rd Week of my OJT, after I help the CAD Group in Redesigning a

Residential house, The next task we do is tracing the circuit connection of the

convenience outlet, lighting outlet, wall fan outlet, and A.C.U of the ground

floor of the Academic building to make a panel board directory that will guide
 the future employees to easily know the branch circuit of the lighting outlet

and power outlet in the panel board in the Academic Building.

Week 4: Outlining

On the 4th week of our OJT, our task is Outlining the position of electrical

equipment in preparation for the as-build of the Academic Building. Also, one

of the activities that make during that week is that our verify the number,

location, and heights of lighting outlets and power outlets such as

convenience outlets, wall fan outlets, A.C.U and others installed in each room

and the hallways from the ground floor and third floor of the Academic

Building.

Week 5-7: Installation and Editing

On Week 5-7, our task is Installation of wallfan in the academic building from

3rd floor, cluster 1-6. Assigned to help editing the lighting and power layout,

the actual number of lighting and Convenience outlets as well as A.C.U, EM

lights, wall fan, and wall lamps in the academic building. In this photo, our

task here is to install a wall fan outlet in each room from the ground floor to

the third floor of the Academic Building. Our group was then divided into two

groups further, and because the laptops were limited, we made a schedule for

those who will work on the layout and those who will install the wall fan.

General Cleanup on the last day of OJT

Giving of Certificate & The ceremony for the completion of on-the-job training
and mark as the last day of OJT in DLD ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
SERVICES.

Problems Encountered

During our OJT, I didn't see any problems or encounter any problems,
especially with the given task, which is designing and installing wallfan
coverings in an academic building from the ground floor to the third floor,
because I've already gained knowledge and experience. But I observed
during my OJT is when I assigned in AutoCAD team. I agree with this kind
of problem because my knowledge and skills with it as it comes in AutoCAD
are not enough. So I use the internet and YouTube to search for basic
commands in AutoCAD. In addition, through the knowledge and skills of
Engineer Darwin L. De Asis and my classmate in AutoCAD, they didn't
hesitate to teach me about the things that I didn't know about AutoCAD. As an
OJT student, what I feel during my OJT is nervous and challenging because
of excitement.

Recommendation & Conclusion

I gained valuable knowledge and skills through on-the-job training in

the DLD Electrical Engineering Services Office. Those lessons I learned
during my OJT, particularly in the AutoCAD software, have helped me a lot
and will continue to do so in the future. We received advice about our
professional subjects from our approachable supervisor. With the knowledge
of my shortcomings and areas that require improvement, this training enables
me to reevaluate myself. With the help of our supervisor, it boosted my
confidence to face all the challenges.
