Quick fix for imgs
check out for auto color,auto contrast,auto tone,smart fix under the enhance
option any of the three can be used when you require quick fixes and
not perfection
dont forget readjusting the layers up and down to find the best match or combine
any two or three of them to find the best match
Aligning imgs and things
view>show>smart guides is used for easier alignment of images if youre putting up
one image over the other
ctrl+ for zooming in an image and vice versa
Resizing an img
for resizing(edit>transform>scale) just catch up the corners and then you can
just pull the img up and down for any length and width but if you want it to be
just the same length and width ratio then just hold down the shift key
also for moving around the img just use the bars on the right and the bottom and
for rotating an image click on edit transform rotate and if you click shift then it
will lock the img at 45 deg angles dont frget to click enter
Mastering the art
and now for a level higher go to windows and turn on adjustments and click on the
graph type pic(histogram) and now there are 3 pointers the black,white and the
middle one so for the end
ones ie the black and white simply bring them to their corner mountain peak and
for the middle one simply drag it left and right to find the right spot for it
in adobe photoshop under the adjustments part theres this thing called the
vibrance(small inverted triangle under adjustment panel) which is better than
saturation if you just level it up then the darker portions of the img gain more
colour leaving the brighter
colors with the same intensity
Hue and saturation-(under adjustment layer second row first icon)here you can see
that you can change the colours of the imgs by changing the hue but for imgs with
lots of diff colors you can change the settings from master to red green yellow etc
explore
all of em and now for imgs with 2 or 3 same colored imgs we'll use something
called masking,saturation brightens or darkens a color
Text
for this click on text tool and now click once and you can start writing but if
you click and drag and now write it will all be inside a box and if the distance bw
2 rows is large then selct all the text and now under prop click on auto adjust and
go to move
tool when youre finished writing also can change the font size under prop and
color under color panel and font on the top bar and under prop under advanced you
can change it all to all caps or bold or italic and also can enter your own choice
of font size
also after all the work is done you can click on the first txt layer click shift
and now click on last txt layer and go to layer to merge the layers
Text on a path
click on pen tool under which freeform pen tool and now on top click on path not
shape and now on top click on sttings and increase the curve fit for smoother
curves you can do edit and step backwards for any undo in ps and now go to text
tool and on the path
click where you want your text to start from one the path youve made dont click
on the inside of a shape bcause it will start writing in the same shape and now you
can start typing check out for the font size and now click on the icon below the
text tool and
 path selection tool and now you can set the starting and end point also can move
the start and end point
by click and drag also if you click anywhere in the middle of the line and drag
on to the other side of the line you can invert the image you can also go to edit
transform path and now rotate or increase or decrease the size of the path&use move
tool for moving
for different kinds of badges instead of using the pen tool use the rectangle
circle ellipse tool for pre defined shapes,dont forget to change from shape to path
on top {change from ellipse to circle in ellipse tool hold shift key} and you
cannot write text on the
same shape or path with gaps in it and with 2 starting points the trick is that
you copy the same layer and now invert rotate and align using move tool for texts
bulged or shaped simply click on text tool and now on top there is warp text and
now click on the options
Drop shadows,Bevel and emboss
click on the layer you want to create the above opt and now click on fx on the
downside,now angle distance spread size opacity angle is where light is coming
from,distance is simply the dist bw the text and the shadow,spread is like the
darkness of the shadow and size is
like the thickness of the drop shadow opacity can be increased for those texts
which are smaller also turn on global light when you want to change the angle for
every drop shadow that youve made elsethen if you want diff texts to hv diff angled
drop shadow just turn it off
also i you want to edit the drop shadow youve made
you can click on the layer and now doubleclick on the drop shadow bevel and
emboss works better with big text style tehnique depth,,style there is inner outer
bevel and inner emboss n emboss i feel that bevels dont look that of a good and now
type(chiesel hard etc)these
simply change the hardness or softness of the bevel/emboss depth is simply the
dept of it rest otions explore by yourself also you can combine other options with
it such as coor overlay on the left click on the tickbox and now click on its name
to show the options for it
also you can combine the rectangle tool but this time were gonna select the shape
part and now you can choosce the colour of it and now go to the layers panel to
bring the text above your rectangle if youve already written your text now chance
the opacity from bottom right
options in the panel you can also combine stroke with your text click on fx and
now turn on the stroke and now check if you want inner outer stroke also check the
size and the color and opacity of the stroke
Gradient overlay
this effect is used on the base layer of your jpeg go to fx gradoverlay and now
you can see the already preset ones in the panel simply click on the black to white
one and after which there will be options popping up the the panel in the slider
only choose from the lower
cubes click on the lower left cube and set its color and click on the lower right
cube to set its color also click on the blend mode and nwo check the options for
which is better and now lower down the opacity for better image also check for the
angle opt also chek out for
the styles linear is sometimes good
Crop tool
make sure that youre on the wh resolution in the options on top left you also
have pre defined reso for use,,drag any of the corners and and resize it afer which
click return if you go outside the corner and and now click you can now rotate the
img click shift to lock it at
45 deg angles also you can manually enter the size in cm or mm on top also click
on clear after youre done coz its gonna disturb you the next time yooure goin to
crop and after youre done with crop if youre img is smaller than youre required
size then in the options on the
top you can click on content aware and now crop to see the magic
 Resolution
open the img you want to change youre resolution and now click on image on top
and img size and now you can see the resoloution general is 72 pixels per inch ppi
or dpi is used and now if you want to change the resolution to whatever reso you
want and if you want the image
to have the same clarity then turn re sample off and if you turn on re sample
then ps is goin to add in more pixels by itself so now you can type in whatever
height and width you want
Masks and Selections
click on rectangular marquee tool (shift for square)and crop whatever size of the
img you want and now if you want then rescale the img and if you want to paste any
other thing using any other thing use ellipse tool (shift for cirle) and now use
the abovw tricks and now
paste it wherever you want you can also rescale transform the img and distort it
a bit to fit in,,now you can blend in 2 imgs firstly take a img and now if you want
a text with color then usimg the text tool type and move it to the center and now
if one of the layers is
as background simply change its name to something else and now bring the below
layer above and now go to layers create clipping mask and now youre done and using
the move tool you can also move the below img (below img selected)to your desired
place you can also rescale
the below img to your required size
Quick selection tool
here in the quick selection tool in the options on top either the first quick
selection tool should be selected or the the 2nd one which has a plus sign on top
of it (settings hardness 100 spacing 25 angle 0 roundness 100 size whatever you
want pen pressure) and now for
selecting the imgs simply drag a bit below the edges of the img and now you can
select whatever you want also for checking whatever you have selected you click on
the small rectangle(quick mask mode) on the toolbox in the bottomside also to
remove the extra selections
simply click on the 3rd quick selection tool ie with a minus sign and now remove
the unwanted parts of the img by decreasing the size of the img you can also turn
on auto enhance on on the top options also if youve gone too far in selcting or
deselecting then use the
opposite signed tools for going back after youve been done with the selection and
now if you try fitting into another img and if its too large or small simply use
select modify and expand or contract and it asks you by what amount of pixels and
now you can experiment
by what size you want it to be you can also use the rescale option and also
rotate the image too
Free transform tool is a tool used for both rescaling and rotating at once
Layer mask
if you use quick selection tool then you can see that the cut out part is simply
gone out of the original img forever so if you use something called the layer mask
then you can see that the original img remains intaact and the masked out part is
like a copy of the original
after using the quick selection tool simply click on the button on the right of
fx which is present at the bottom right you can also work with the original img and
the mask separetely and in the properties panel you can change the prop of the mask
like feather which
smudges out the outline of the mask also you can turn off and on layer mask after
clicking on the mask and then right click and disable layer mask and can do
adjustments onlu in the img also see that there is a link b/w layer mask and your
img as you move your mask the cut
out part of the image also moves along with it(think about it) but once you click
on the link to remove the link b/w the layer and the mask and now click onn the img
part bcoz you want to move the img part now you can move within the img in a mask
too by using the move tool
 after youre done with it you can link it back to finish with your masking
Select and Mask
under your layer mask click on the mask and now you can the options related to it
like select and mask after which you can see view under which you can change the
background to black or white or any other thing other properties like edge
detection if you increase it up then
you can simply better out the edges of your mask on the top right you can turn on
high quality preview to make and see differences click on show original to see the
diff under the output settins you can turn on decontaminate colors and see the
magic under global refinements
you can see soften feather contrast and shift edge and you increase and see all
of the options and decrease and see the shift edge to see the changes now if you
have problems with selecting the mask then you can simply use refine edge brush
tool present on the left of the
panel after youve masked the img to some extent and then using the tool youve
selected simply select the portions of the img that you feel that is not correctly
masked using the quick selection tool and now you can see that it has increased the
quality of your selection
after that you can also simply use decontaminate colors and increase the quality
of selection to a further more level
Smart objects
For imgs this is simply used when you resized a quality img to a small size and
now you want it to be large then you can see that ps has pixelated the img and now
before you do anything to the img simply right click on the img you want to resize
and now click on smart object
after youve used smart objects then you cannot use some actions like lens blur
etc but if you want to use it then select the layer and now right click and click
on rasterize layer
for logos smart object is useful as bcoz if your logo is still in development and
you simply double click on the thumbnail of the smart object and now if you make
changes with the original object then the copies used in here are also changed
automatically(works for logos
which are copied from somewhere)
Transforming and warping layers
go to file and then place embedded and now select the photo you want to warp and
now firstly simply select the layer of the img and now right click and click on
rasterize layer as we cannot warp smart objects afterwhich goto edit transform and
now click on skew,distort,
perspective,warp (distort and warp are widely used)and now simply warp your img
on to anything that you want after all that finally under your layer section click
on multiply to simply blend in the img better with the background img
Spot healing brush tool
here after clicking on the spot healing tool simply goto the options and now
decrease the hardness to zero and now if you start using the tool just like that
then if you try removing the blemishes off a persons face then it doesnt look
natural henceby if you want to blend it
in a much better way then simply create another layer and now on the top click on
sample all layers and now also click on content aware type and also mode is set to
normal after all of your work is done then simply decrease the opacity in the
layers panel
Content aware fill
in this tool simply click on edit and content aware fill and now if you try
rescaling the img to any size now ps simply tries to fill things by itself using
crop tool you can simply click and drag on the poirnts and increase the size of the
img and now start rescaling using the
content aware fill also you can use this tool and decrease the length and breadth
of the img and see the magic it does and now if sometimes the tool doesnt work
great then using any selection tool select the object that is not rescaled properly
and now select it and now goto
 select and save selection and now rescale using the content aware fill and on the
top it shows protect under which you can now protect the slected part of the img
and your rescaling is also done very perfectly make sure before doing all this your
background layer is renamed coz
it will not allow you to rescale
Exporting the imgs
use the imgs as psd documents to transfer it from one adobe app to another like
indesign premiere pro and adobe illustrator if you want to export the img to a
printer simply click on save as and photoshop pdf afterwhich you see 2 dialogue
boxes one of which simply turn off
preserve photoshop editing capabilities and also quality to be high quality print
also if you want the img as jpeg simply click on file save as and now jpeg and in
the dialogue box that appears simply click on large file if you want to save the
quality of the img and now if you
want to export the img to social media then click on file export export as and
now in the dialogue box click on jpeg img and quality to 100% or lesser if you want
lesser quality and click export all
