Bma2102 Probability and Statistics II Reg Supp

This document contains instructions and questions for an examination on probability and statistics. Question 1 has parts a-e asking students to define a random variable, differentiate between probability mass and density functions, find probabilities related to the number of cars arriving at an intersection within 20 seconds based on a given discrete probability function, find the mean of a discrete random variable with a given probability distribution, and find the variance and standard deviation of a continuous random variable with a given density function. Question 2 classifies random variables as discrete or continuous and finds probabilities related to students graduating from university. Questions 3-5 contain additional probability and statistics problems, including finding variances, probabilities of rejecting defective product lots, expectations, moments, and properties of beta distributions.
