Business Operations (BO)

In today’s changing competitive landscape, executable strategy requires fusing insightful

Deloitte’s Business Operations consulting practice is consistently ranked #1 or #2 in the

industry, achieving regular double digit growth in targeted capability areas. The practice works
with senior executives of corporations to help them solve their toughest and most complex
problems by bringing an approach to executable strategy that combines deep industry
knowledge, rigorous analysis, and creative insights to enable confident action.

The services within BO includes Cloud Engineering and Operations Transformation. The
practice comprises practitioners from diverse areas such as corporate and business unit
strategy, M&A strategy, sales and marketing, finance, supply chain and business
restructuring.

Prime responsibilities as a Consultant

As a Consultant, you will work in teams led by partners with colleagues and clientele from a wide
variety of industries to develop innovative operating solutions by bringing in a broad perspective.
As part of these engagements, you will develop a deep understanding of client issues, work in
teams to build robust and executable solutions and articulate effectively to the client stakeholders.

In cross-border engagements, you will also have the opportunity to work with our practitioners
from our practices from across the world. These provide a strong platform for you to expand your
own knowledge and skills while helping our clients to achieve competitive success

You are expected to work in a fast paced environment while we provide personalized training
programs to prepare you for the role in attractive conditions and bright career prospects aligned to
your experience.

Skills

Consultants will be on client-facing projects and take full responsibility of delivery and ensure it
meets client expectations. They will effectively engage with managers at Deloitte and client
counterparts in discussions relating to the project delivery and provide new perspectives /insights.
Some of the key skills we look for include the ability to
 A fast learner who can pick up a new sector, industry or a concept very quickly
 Out-of-box thinking and an inclination for problem solving
 Aptitude for programming in languages such as python, handling of large
datasets. Experience with common data science packages such as NumPy,
Pandas, etc
 Familiarity with popular statistical and machine learning techniques

 Ability to take up economic analysis, financial analysis – basically playing with numbers
 Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
