• Faraday's fascination with science and experimentation led him to attend public
lectures by the famous chemist Humphry Davy at the Royal Institution.
• He took extensive notes in 1812, sent a bound set of these notes to Davy, who
recognized his talent. Impressed by Faraday's passion, Davy offered him a job as
a laboratory assistant, which Faraday eagerly accepted.
