Underground and Opencast mines. It was incorporated in 1974 and went public in 1992.
Situated at Vallabh Vidyanagar, Anand, Gujarat, Eimco Elecon is spread over a stretch of 15
acres.
Eimco Elecon (India) Limited was first to introduce the intermediate technology of Side Dump
Loaders (SDLs), Load Haul Dumpers (LHDs) and Rocker Shovel Loaders in India to partially
mechanize the underground Coal and metalliferous mines and continue to be market leader
since then.
Elecon group of companies, continue to be market leader since its establishment in 1951, in
manufacture of material handling Equipment & related projects in India and having diversified
interests in Wagon tipplers, Reclaimers, Industrial Gear Boxes, Industrial Geared Motors,
Industrial Electro Magnets, Wagon Loaders, Various Electronic Equipment, etc.
In order to maintain pace with demand for enhancement of productivity from mines, we also
introduced Face & Roof Drills, Coal Haulers, different models of LHDs / SDLs, etc. for
underground mines. We have also started manufacturing Construction Equipment to cater
the requirement of Construction Segment.
Eimco elecon produced more than 3800 Nos. of machines, which are working successfully at
various mining and construction sites in India and Abroad. We provide Sales and After-sales-

3.2 MARKETING

What is marketing?
25 | P a g e
• Supply chain management (SCM) is the centralized management of the flow of goods
and services and includes all processes that transform raw materials into final
products.
• By managing the supply chain, companies can cut excess costs and deliver products to
the consumer faster and more efficiently.
• Good supply chain management keeps companies out of the headlines and away from
expensive recalls and lawsuits.
• The five most critical elements of SCM are developing a strategy, sourcing raw
materials, production, distribution, and returns.
• A supply chain manager is tasked with controlling and reducing costs and avoiding
supply shortages.
• Supply chain management (SCM) represents an effort by suppliers to develop and
implement supply chains that are as efficient and economical as possible. Supply
chains cover everything from production to product development to the information
systems needed to direct these undertakings.
• Typically, SCM attempts to centrally control or link the production, shipment,
and distribution of a product. By managing the supply chain, companies can cut excess
costs and deliver products to the consumer faster. This is done by keeping tighter
control of internal inventories, internal production, distribution, sales, and
the inventories of company vendors.
3.4 MANUFACTURING
There is total 4 stages in manufacturing,
1. Fabrication:
Fabrication is the construction of items from different parts using at least one of a range
of processes and materials such as metal, round bar, plates, pipes and other solid surface
materials. Frequently used in relation to metal fabrication, the steps involved can include
stamping, welding, cutting, bending, and assembling processes.
2. Machining:
Machining is a process in which a material (often metal) is cut to a desired final shape and
size by a controlled material-removal process.
In our case many parts will occurs after the fabrication. After that with the help of
horizontal milling machine we can proceed several operations on particular part like
milling, drilling, chamfering, facing, turning etc.
3. Assembly:
After the machining process sub-assembly will be created with using many internal parts
like hoses, cables, indication and caution lights, tyre or track etc. these all subassembly
will join together and make assembly of a particular product.
4. Paint:
26 | P a g e
When the assembly of any product is completed then it will deliver to the paint shop for
external paint.
3.5 QUALITY CONTROL
Quality control, or QC, is the process that businesses use to ensure that a product or service
adheres to a predefined set of quality standards or meets the requirements of customers or
clients. It usually requires the business to create an environment where employees and
management are always striving for perfection.
There is different 3 stages,
1. Incoming QC:
Incoming quality control refers to the procedure that inspects the quality of materials
and components that were purchased. This control check is completed before the
beginning of production.
2. In process QC:
In process quality control refers to the procedure that inspects the quality of standard
dimensions of the parts of the products while the operator performs the operation
such as a boring, chamfering etc.
3. Final QC:
Final Quality Control is the act of comprehensively inspecting and testing the quality
of the product after all the processes are completed to before the product is put into
storage. It is also the final quality control work before the product is packaged or
boxed.
3.6 SERVICE
A service department is usually associated with a manufacturer's production departments.
However, a service department does not produce any of the factory's output. Instead, it
provides services to the production departments.
Standard procedure:
• Product commissioning at site
• Product training
• Schedule maintenance
• Customer complain resolution
