Answer- The internet is a global network of interconnected computers, servers, phones, and smart
appliances that communicate with each other using the transmission control protocol (TCP) standard to
enable a fast exchange of information and files, along with other types of services
2.Differentiate Website froma Web Browser.
Answer-
Web Browser :
Web browser, as name suggest, is basically a software application that runs on computer and responds to
request made by other computers on network. It also loads website much faster and use the latest WWW
standards for displaying websites.
Web Page :
Web Page, as name suggests, is basically a document that represent different types of information
presented to users in more understandable and readable manner. With each and every web page, unique
URL is associated. With help of this URL, web page can be identified and displayed on user’s device
screen.
Example : Page you are reading now is example of web page, etc.
3.Define World Wide Web.
Answer- The World Wide Web is an international computer network that connects images and documents
to a global database that is accessible to everyone. The network is housed on computers across the globe.
The Web and WWW are frequently used acronyms.
4. What are the importance of internet in our modern and digital world?
Answer- The right to information and the freedom of expression can both be greatly enhanced by the
Internet. The Internet can provide a useful and easily accessible toolkit for highlighting issues and
addressing their root causes. Activities, gatherings, and groups can be planned online to share ideas and
concerns and get attention from a larger audience.

Google - Google is an internet search engine. It uses a proprietary algorithm that’s designed to retrieve
and order search results to provide the most relevant and dependable sources of data possible.
Bing - is the search engine that Microsoft introduced in June of 2009. Similar to other search engines, it
processes a query sent by a user, to which it returns news, videos, photographs, advertisements, and
organic results. Despite its vain attempts to compete with Google, it has maintained growing and seen an
increase in advertising revenue in recent years.
