1. Three Men Hydrant Drill

Equipments Required

Hydrant Post Standard/short Three Hoses

Words of Commands
 “Crew fall in”
 "Crew Number"
 “No.1 crew for hydrant drill 3 spaces behind the hose crew “fall in”
 “From the right no.”
 "For hydrant drill No.1 crew Get to Work"

Actions
 Number 3 will connect one hose and lay-out the same
 Number 2 will lay-out second hose. Number 3 will connect First & Second hose

 Number 1 will lay-out third hose & connect branch pipe at the end.
 Number 2 will connect second & third hose

 Number 3 will be hydrant operator


 Number 1 will signal to Number 2 "Water On"
 Number 2 will signal to Number 3 "Water On"

 Number 3 will open hydrant as per requirement


 Number 2 will signal to Number 1 "Water On"
 Number 2 will run to help Number 1 in holding branch pipe

 Number 1 will signal to Number 2 "Increase Pressure"


 Number 2 will signal to Number 3 "Increase Pressure"
 Number 3 will open hydrant more
 Number 3 will signal to Number 2 "Increase Pressure"

 Number 1 will signal to Number 2 "Decrease Pressure"


 Number 2 will signal to Number 3 "Decrease Pressure"

 Number 3 will reduce pressure by operating Hydrant


 Number 3 will signal to Number 2 "Decrease Pressure"

 Number 1 will signal to Number 2 "Water Off"


 Number 2 will signal to Number 3 "Water Off"
 Number 3 will close the hydrant
 Number 3 will signal to Number 2 "Water Off"

 Number 1 will signal to Number 2 "Knock up & Make Up"


 Number 2 will signal to Number 3 "Knock up & Make Up"
 Number 3 will close the Hydrant valve
 Number 3 will signal to Number 2 "Knock up & Make Up"

 Number 1 &Number 2 disconnect the hoses & roll the 3 rd and 2 nd length of hose respectively
 Number 3 will disconnect the hose from Hydrant & roll the 1 st length of hose.

2. Four Men Extension Ladder Drill

Equipments Required: -
45 ft. Extension Ladder.

Commands
 Crew Attention
 From the right number
 In four number
 All number left hand up
 By crews number
 All crew stand-at-ease
 No. -- crew attention
 For four men ladder drill 3 paces behind the ladder crew fall-in
 Crew attention
 From the left number
 Close-up
 Crew number
 Pitch extension ladder to – floor number – crew Get to work.

On getting command of get to work all member will take inward turn and lift ladder on
their shoulders, crew will start running on saying “up” by no. 4.

On reaching the site ladder is kept vertical in position and no.2 will come out and extend
the ladder as required, no.1,3,4 will give firm support while extending the ladder.

After pitching the ladder all will take dressing with the ladder.
No.1 will take about turn and will move three steps and again will take about turn and
will check the ladder properly and will give corrective suggestions to crew.

Crew number
 No. 1 up
 No. 1 down
 No. 1 apply leg lock with arm hold.
 No. 1 removes arm hold with leg lock.
 Likewise, no.2, 3, 4 will climb and come down.

Make up
 All will take turn facing towards each other.
 No.2 will come out and lower the extending part.
 No.1, 3, 4 will give firm support while lowering.
 After lowering crew lift the ladder on their shoulders and will move on saying up by no.4.
 And will stand in close up position

 Crew number
 Three spaces behind the ladder no.—crew fall in.

3. Six Men Foam Drill

 “For six men foam drill three spaces behind the pump no.1 crew fall in”

 “Crew close up”
 “Working from open water double suction single delivery three length of hose using inline inductor with
FB 10 no 1 crew get to work”
 “Crew fall out”

Actions
On getting command of get to work all will take inward turn
 No.6, 1 will connect first suction hose and No.4, 5 will connect second suction hose.
 No.6 will tight the first suction joint with suction wrench and then second suction joint with help of No.5.
 No.4 will connect suction strainer and apply clove hitch while he will throw half the rope to No.5, he will
apply half hitch in the second suction joint.
 After that No.5, 4 will insert suction strainer in water source on saying up by No.5.
 No.5 will apply round turn to two half hitch to hard support.
 No.1 will take FB10 to the distance of three lengths of hose.
 No.2 will take inline inductor to the distance of two lengths of hose.
 No.3 will lay first delivery hose and connect female coupling to the inline inductor, NO.2 will lay second
delivery hose and No.1 will lay third delivery hose and will connect to the branch and will take the position,
No.2 will come for his help.
 No.3 will carry one foam drum to the inline inductor and wait for signal.
 No.1 will give signal of water on to No.3 and No.3 will repeat the massage to No.6, he will reply the
massage and open the delivery valve.
 No.3 and No.4 will carry foam drum in sequence to supply foam to inline inductor.
 No.1 will give signal water off to No.3, No.3 to No.6, No.6 will close the valve.
 No.1 will give signal of knock-up and make up to No.3; No.3 to No.6, No.6 will repeat the massage.
 NO.2 will carry inline inductor to its original position.
 No.5 will disconnect the delivery hose.
 No.1 will disconnect the branch and will carry to its original position and will do suction work.
 No.4, 5 will take out the suction strainer from the water source.
 No.6 will lose the first suction joint and then lose the second joint with help of No.5 using suction wrench.
 No.4 will disconnect the suction strainer and lose the clove hitch knot .and will disconnect the second
suction hose with the help of No.5.
 No.6, 1 will disconnect the first suction hose and will keep to its original position.
 No.1, 2, 3 will under run and roll their respective delivery hose.
 All crew will stand three spaces behind the pump and No.1 will report to the commander.

4. Six Men Pump Drill

lay second delivery hose , No.4 will lay the third delivery hose No.3 will connect branch No.4 will be his
helper.
 No.2, 4 will be messenger for first and second delivery hose respectively.No.1, 3 will be branch man and
No.6 will be pump operator.
 No.1 will give signal of water on to No.2 and No.2 will repeat the massage to No.6, he will reply the
massage and open the delivery valve of the first delivery valve.
 No.3 will signal of water on to No.4, No.4 will convey the massage to No.6, No.6 will repeat the massage
and open the second delivery valve.
 Likewise increase pressure, decrease pressure, water off, knock up and make up signals will be conveyed
by No.2, 4 to No.6.
 After knock up and make up No.1, 3 will disconnect and carry branch holding on his shoulder to its original
position, No.5 will disconnect the delivery hose from the delivery valve.
 No.4, 5 will take out the suction strainer from the water source.
 No.6 will lose the first suction joint and then lose the second joint with help of No.5 using suction wrench.
 No.4 will disconnect the suction strainer and lose the clove hitch knot .and will disconnect the second
suction hose with the help of No.5.
 No.6, 1 will disconnect the first suction hose and will keep to its original position.
 No.1,2,3 will under run and roll their respective delivery hose of first delivery valve, No 4,5,6 will under
run and roll the hose respectively.
 All crew will stand three spaces behind the pump and No.1 will report to the commander.
