COMMUNICATION
● Communicating is how we do everything. We
communicate with our voice, actions, and our
body. It's a true representation of who we are.
One gets to know us, our personality, likes, and
dislikes all by communicating. Communication
is the essential human connection —
understanding others and being understood. As
the essential human connection, skillful
communication enables you to meet
professional and personal goals. It is the conduit
for mutual understanding and change.
Without communication, you accomplish
only what you can do alone, which
inevitably is only a fraction of what you can
do in a joint effort with others. And
through the years, communication has also
evolved. The way people communicate with
each other today is entirely different from
the past. People no longer have to wait for
years, months, weeks, and days to receive a
piece of information or message. Today,
texts, e-mails, tweets, and personal
messages can reach the recipient in just a
matter of seconds.
● The rise of social media has
changed the world's perspective
on communication. The increase
in the speed of communication
has created a sense of urgency
and a need to share things
among people, provided an
inside perspective of faraway
places, and made digital
messages more personal. The
traditional ways of
communication have now been
replaced by modern ones.
The social network is how the
Social users utilize social media.
While the terms social media
Network and social network seem to be
interchangeable, they have
distinct differences.
Essentially, social media is a
platform for broadcasting
information, whereas social
networking is a platform for
communicating with one
another.
Social media is a communications channel,
whereas, in social networking, communication
has a two-way nature. Common examples of
social networking sites or platforms include
Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
Users join a social network platform and begin
connecting -- or networking -- with other users.
This is done so users can choose who they want
to receive communications from. In some cases,
communication is one-way, while, in others, it's
bidirectional or multidirectional. In other
words, social networking is like selecting radio
presets on a car stereo.
A social network is a way in which people interact with each other
or people living in a group. People involved in social networking
may use this as a personal or professional activity. It may be also
defined as having three principal elements: consciousness of kind,
rituals and traditions of the community, and the moral
responsibility of the individuals it comprises. There is a big
difference between a social network and social network sites (also
referred broadly as social media). Basically, a social network is a
platform for communicating with one another, whereas social
media is a platform for broadcasting information, wherein social
media requires a social network in order to disburse content to
those that wish to consume and interact with it. Thus, the social
media network is the underlying technology and human
connections, while social media focuses strictly on what is being
published and consumed within the social networking platform.
Since social network is for everyone, however, it can be
neither harmless nor harmful for individuals. It is up to
you how you will use it. Social network provides you some
benefits, like; it gives us access to easy, instant
communication tools, it creates brand exposure for
businesses, can advocate and promote awareness on
different events. There are disadvantages as well, such as;
it exposes us to a lot of information that may lead us to
encounter cyberbullying, peer pressure, and can become a
distraction for some. Social media is a powerful revolution
that has changed our lives all rounds; it has changed the
way we socialize, conduct our business, and even
influences our sense of fashion.
Virtual Networking
Virtual networking allows the data centers to
stretch across different physical locations and
gives network administrators new and more
efficient options, like the ability to easily modify
the network as needs change, without having to
switch out or buy more hardware; greater
flexibility in provisioning the network to specific
needs and applications; and the capacity to move
workloads across the network infrastructure
without compromising service, security, and
availability.
Virtual networking
delivers more centralized
management and
simplified network
management. Disparate
parts of the network can
be accessed remotely for
needed updates and
changes, or even testing,
making network
management cheaper and
easier.
a virtual networked community is
a social network of individuals
who connect through specific
social media, potentially crossing
geographical and political
boundaries in order to pursue
mutual interests or goals. Some
of the most pervasive virtual
communities are online
communities operating under
social networking services.
Technology lends itself well to
social media and is now used in
social networks, virtual
communities, and other forms of
social interaction. Social
networks and virtual communities
are the sub-categories of social
media and most of us familiar
with.
Social media is interactive digitally-
mediated technologies that allow us to
share information, pictures, and ideas
among other things, therefore, social
media has become an integral part of the
lives of people of all ages today. These
two sub-categories of social media which
are the social network and virtual
community are both important and play
a huge part in our daily lives.
● There is no doubt in the fact that
through modern technology, our lives
are far easier and simultaneously
efficient as well. The current advances
in technology have changed the way
we communicate and interact, that's
why it is identified as one of the
ground-breaking inventions humans
have come up with and the greatest
tools for mankind, on the other hand,
the use of technology can also have a
negative result and have slowly taken
an essential part in people's day-to-
day.
The social network is one of the sub-
categories of social media. Social
networks, in the simplest of terms, are SOCIAL
much like your offline social networks.
We all have groups of friends, relatives, NETWORK
co-workers, and acquaintances that we
speak to and see regularly, this is the key
to Social Networks - they revolve around a
group of people you already know or have
already met. Social networks are
inherently unique to each and every
person who has one for this very reason.
So when it comes down to it, what makes
a social network a social network is the
fact that you have already made each of
the relationships.
While Virtual communities are most often
online communities and are usually created
around a common interest which brings
together their members. As they do not require a
physical presence or space, members may come
from anywhere in the world. Virtual
communities tend to focus on very specific
topics with relationships among members being
mostly intended for. People become part of a
community when they are close to each other,
participate in local activities, and shared values.
VIRTUAL COMMUNITY
People around the world can
choose any activity in any corner of
the world because they are
participating in global activities
locally and share the same value of
the community that they believe in.
These two sub-categories of social
media which are the social network
and virtual community are both
relevant and a helping to make our
lives easier.
We can use social network
to disarm social stigmas. It
helps us to stay connected,
learn about current events,
and share the good things
about our lives and online
communities build brand
awareness, increase leads,
and drive conversions with a
clear purpose and the right
moderation.
