HISTORY
PROJECT TOPIC – Discuss the art and architectural features of any three monuments.

 Buddhist Caves, Ajanta.


 Iron pillar, Mehrauli
 Gol Gumbaz, Bijapur
 Matlanchetty Synagogue, Cochin
 St. Thomas Basilica, Chennai
 Tower of Silence, Mumbai

Dear Students,
Preparation of a project is an important aspect of a students’ life and it helps you to learn better by doing it on your own.
Students have a tendency to postpone their project work or do it shabbily, sometimes wrongly and submit it late to the
teachers. It is also the responsibility of the parents to make sure that their wards submit their projects on time.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Projects must be handwritten.
2. Do not use red or green colour pens/sketch pens etc.
3. Use interleaf punched sheets.
4. The project is to be covered with BROWN fluorescent or glace paper.
5. In the cover page write School’s name, Topic (History Project File), your name, class (on the right hand side
bottom) and Submitted to- Name of the subject teacher (on the left hand side bottom).
6. Projects are to be submitted on the given dates without failure, immediately, on coming to school to the concerned
subject teachers.
7. Do not cut pictures and paste get the Xerox of the pictures and paste. Pictures should be black and white. All
pictures are to be stuck on the white blank side of the sheet.
8. Only diagrams and figures drawn by the students can be colourful.
9. The pictures should all have a heading or title below it.
10. Page limits – Minimum 15 & Maximum 20 and Arrangements should be done in the following manner-
(i) The first page will be acknowledgement.
(ii) The second page contents.
(Serial no. • Topic • Page no • Teacher's remarks)
(iii) Then from third page starts the project paper.
1. Here first you will write the introduction of the topic. (INTRODUCTION)
Write about importance of art and architecture in history and few lines on THREE monuments on
which you are making the project
2. MONUMENT 1 (History, Importance etc.)
3. MONUMENT 2 (History, Importance etc.)
4. MONUMENT 3 (History, Importance etc.)
5. Conservation of Indian Heritage
(iv) The last two pages will be conclusion on your topic and then bibliography.
