CALASUMANGA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
PANUKULAN, QUEZON
I. Title:
This in-service training aims to empower teachers with innovative pedagogical strategies,
with emphasis on improving learners’ literacy and numeracy skills. This in-service training for
teachers also aims to update teachers with relevant teaching innovation that will help teachers
foster creativity, integrate technology, and cultivate a growth mindset inside the classroom.
Additionally, this training will also incorporate a mid-year performance review and evaluation that
will serve as a checkpoint to assess teacher’s progress, provide constructive feedback and
address emerging challenges.
III. Rationale:
The proposed in-service training aligns with the Department of Education’s commitment to
educational excellence, anchored in the framework of the Republic Act No. 10533, or the
Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013. This legislation underscores the need for a K-12
curriculum that emphasizes not only academic proficiency but also the holistic development of
learners. The training, designed to enhance teachers' proficiency in innovative pedagogical
strategies, literacy, and numeracy, directly supports these objectives. In addition, the performance
review and evaluation components ensure compliance with the law's emphasis on accountability
and continuous improvement, ultimately contributing to the realization of a globally competitive and
socially responsible student populace as envisioned by the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013.
