Committee Chair on Women’s and Family,Barangay Secretary, VAWC
Officers Chief Tanod, Lupon and LCAt-VAWC

Summary of Activity
On February 14-15, 2023, the Office of the Municipal Social Welfare and
Development conducted a 2 days’ capability development training at Dilasag Sport’s
Complex Dilasag, Aurora with the activity title of “TRAINING-WORKSHOP ON
EFFICIENT CASE HANDLING, BASIC COUNSELING, DOCUMENTATION OF
CHILDREN AND WOMEN’S CASES FOR BPCP’S AND LCAT-VAWC”. The food
expenses for the participants was provided. On February 14, 2023, the first day of
the activity was intended for the barangays for their one- on-one Technical
Assistance with the Resource Speaker- Atty. Corazon Aguilar-David and the
registration time from 11 Barangays and the member of the LCAT-VAWC and
distribution of training kit. The second day February 15, 2023 is the lecture-
discussion proper. The activity formally opened at 8:30 in the morning which includes
prayer, acknowledgement of participants by MSWDO and inspirational messages
given by the LCE and SB Member Committee on Social Services. Afterwards the
introduction of the Resource Speaker was given by the Facilitator and immediately
given the whole day floor with her. The Resource Speaker discussed the following
wherein the participants actively participated;

1. Handling of Women and Children’s Cases at the Barangay Level


2. The Rights of Women and Children under the Law
3. Salient Features of RA 7610, RA 11596, RA 10932, RA9344 AND E.O NO.
209
4. Katarungang Pambarangay Law
