Essay On Rainwater Harvesting

Writing an essay on the topic of rainwater harvesting can be both challenging and rewarding. The
difficulty lies not in the scarcity of information, but rather in crafting a piece that is informative,
engaging, and thought-provoking. To begin with, one needs a comprehensive understanding of the
concept of rainwater harvesting, including its importance, methods, and impact on the environment.

Researching the topic involves delving into scientific aspects, environmental concerns, and the socio-
economic implications of rainwater harvesting. It requires exploring different techniques and
technologies employed for effective water conservation. Additionally, one must consider regional
variations, as the feasibility and relevance of rainwater harvesting may differ across geographical
locations.

Structuring the essay presents another set of challenges. Balancing technical details with readability
is crucial, ensuring that the information is accessible to a diverse audience. Developing a coherent
flow of ideas, from the introduction to the conclusion, is essential to maintain the reader's interest.
The essay should not only educate but also inspire the reader to appreciate the significance of
rainwater harvesting in sustainable water management.

Furthermore, expressing a personal perspective or argument within the essay adds complexity. It
demands critical thinking and the ability to articulate a stance on the effectiveness and necessity of
rainwater harvesting. This requires not only a thorough understanding of the subject but also the skill
to present a compelling case.

In conclusion, writing an essay on rainwater harvesting is challenging due to the need for
comprehensive research, effective organization, and the articulation of a well-supported argument.
However, overcoming these challenges can result in a piece that contributes meaningfully to the
discourse on water conservation.

Euthyphro, By Plato The Main Idea That Comes Up Is...
Seiji Hayashi
PHIL 3500
Chrisoula Andreou In Euthyphro, by Plato the main idea that comes up is socratic
ignorance. Euthyphro argues that he is the self proclaimed expert on the subject of piety
and impiety. I could argue in the position that, Euthyphro is claiming expertise in a
subject that he doesn t know enough about. This socratic ignorance is the idea of the
dialogue. I have decided to take an extra argument in this paper. I argue there is ignorance
in both Socrates and Euthyphro. Although it s more difficult to prove, I explain the
situations of piety and impiety and how it is relative to each person and the time period
of the discussion. Bringing the background situation to show claims made by Euthyphro
and lack of evidence provided in this dialogue. The supporting claims I share after are on
Euthyphro s side of conversation. This determines his thoughts, on the definition of piety
and unspoken details that I have determined. Socrates also makes arguments that are
known to be true, to Euthyphro through comparison of different circumstances. This
happens through Socrates and Euthyphro, use of asking questions and questing answer,
from what explained, based on the knowledge of Euthyphro. I use the background of the
whole dialogue, in pointing out flaws in the responses of both parties. I also bring into
aspect of the circumstance relative to the time period, and the nature of people s beliefs,
in religion. The background of the dialogue the important to the
Essay on Stanley Kubrick s The Shining
Stanley Kubrick s The Shining (1980) initially received quite a bit of negative criticism.
The film irritated many Stephen King fans (and King himself) because it differed so
greatly from the novel. The Shining also disappointed many filmgoers who expected a
conventional slasher film. After all, Kubricksaid it would be the scariest horror movieof
all time. 1 Kubrick s films, however, never fully conform to their respective genres;
they transcend generic expectations. In the same way that 2001: A Space Odyssey
(1968) is not just another outer space sci fi flick, The Shining is not a typical horror
movie. The monsters in The Shining originate not from dark wooded areas, but from the
recesses of the mysterious human mind in broad... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

And that, to me, killed the suspense. It killed the entire subtext of the book. It ruined it,
and I hated it. 3

Indeed, King has often complained about Kubrick s film, saying its full title should be
Stanley Kubrick s The Shining. In 1997, King got the chance to redeem his story as
executive producer for Stephen King s The Shining. The six hour ABC miniseries
contained King s original ghouls and spooky shrubbery. Steven Weber (of Wings) and
his oversized croquet mallet replaced the ax wielding Jack Nicholson. Rebecca De
Mornay played the sexy Wendy from the novel, as opposed to the mousy doormat
played by Shelley Duvall in Kubrick s version. And flashbacks revealed Jack s shaky
psychological history.
In order to get the rights to remake the movie, King had to sign an agreement with
Kubrick prohibiting large scale video release and any discussion of Kubrick s film. If
I say anything about [Kubrick s movie], I m in trouble, said King. But actor Courtland
Mead, 10, who played Danny Torrance in the miniseries, said, [Kubrick s film] was
cool, but Stephen King didn t like it. He thought Jack Nicholson was way over the top. 4
Like Adrian Lyne s 1998 remake of Lolita, King s remake of The Shining is more
faithful to the novel. In both cases, however, Kubrick s versions now rank higher with
most critics not necessarily because of what Kubrick left out of his films but because of
the depth he added to them. Even Jessie Horsting, who loathed
Diverse Paint Should Offer Merit Pay
Merit pay have the most impact greatest and positive impact on the behaviour of the
employees. Merit pay is a sort of incentive pay system which targets the behaviour and
creativity of an individual. It encourages the employee to strive to maintain the good
behaviour as well also enhance the lagging or down productivity on any of the
employee s task. This sort of pay is targeting the sustainability of the employee s positive
behaviour on the long run. Thus, in my opinion Diverse Paint should offer merit pay, no
matter how small it is. This will also take care of any employee turnover in this volatile
economic scenario. If the employee notices that the company is rewarding them, in spite
of going through a tough financial phase or when the markets
Intraoperative and Postoperative Complications of
Hypothermia
Reviewing the Literature
Hypothermia is a common problem in surgical patients. Up to 70% of patients experience
some degree of hypothermia that is undergoing anesthetic surgery. Complications include
but are not limited to wound infections, myocardial ischemia, and greater oxygen
demands. The formal definition of hypothermia is when the patient s core body
temperature drops below 36 degrees Celsius or 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. Thus, the
purpose of the paper is to synthesize what studies reveal about the current state of
knowledge on the effects of pre operative warming of patient s postoperative
temperatures. I will discuss consistencies and contradictions in the literature, and offer
possible explanations for the inconsistencies. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ten patients were in a control group where no special precautions were taken, ten patients
had preoperative and intraoperative active warming, and ten patients had intraoperative
active warming only. By providing 45 minutes to 1 hour of pre warming and
intraoperative warming combined, hypothermia caused by general anesthesia was not
experience. After induction the patients with just intraoperative warming were in a
hypothermia state for at least the first two hours. It was not until the end of surgery that
both groups (except the control group) were at a normothermia state.
Similarly, Hooven (2011) concluded that when using FAW blankets preoperatively, the
incidence of postoperative hypothermia was decreased in patients receiving colorectal
surgery. The study supported the idea of preoperative warming. This comparison study
was a retrospective review of data that was gathered over a period of two years,
included 149 patients having colorectal surgeries. 77 patient were pre warmed and 72
non warmed. Approximately a 50:50 mix between men and women and ages 24 to 100
years old. It was found that using FAW blankets preoperatively decreased the incidence
of postoperative hypothermia in patients receiving colorectal surgery. Melling, Baqar,
Eileen David (2001), knew that warming patients during colorectal surgery had shown to
reduce infection rates. In their study, they wanted to
The Role Of Socialization, Gender, And Education As A...
Socialization, Gender, and Education as a social institution have all been topics that
have been heavily discussed in the classroom. Each of these sociological aspects of
society help create ideologies and norms in particular as to the role gender plays in the
household and in the workplace. From the extended interview on Adam Belaid, it has
become evident that the educationplays the largest role in socialization. In particular, the
public educational institutions that have been founded on the principals of the state.
Particularly, educational institutions and their effect on its students views on gender.
Through an analysis of the interviewee, Martin s Becoming a Gendered Body: Practices
of Preschools , and Bowles Education and Inequality it is evident that the educational
institution plays the greatest role in the socialization of an individual. Adam Belaid is
currently a software engineer at Riot Games, whose job is primarily in back end
development and program execution. He was educated in several countries where each
country has a slightly different sociological norm. His adolescent education was in
France, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan; his high school education took place in what he
defined as a small school that taught an Advanced Placement (AP) and International
Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum in Arizona. His undergraduate education took place at
Virginia Tech with a major in Computer Science. Adam identifies himself as a practicing

Summary Of Alumnus Welcome By Shounak Bagchi
In Alumnus Welcomes... Shounak Bagchi, a UC Berkeley alumni addresses the UC
Berkeley freshman Class of 2017 and gives them advice on how to succeed throughout
their college years. He makes them appreciate the handwork they completed to get
accepted into the school, but also how to make the best out of their time while attending
UC Berkeley. Alumnus Welcomes... is rhetorically persuasive because Bagchi was an
alumni of the school that he wrote to which gives him credibility, he used humor to
grab the reader s attention and he stated facts about the school, which attracts the
audience s sense of logic. The author was inspired to write this essay because he
experienced college the same way all freshmen will experience college. He went
through the same exact struggles that they are bound to go through at some point in
it, so he was motivated to help them survive school and stick with it no matter how
tough it gets. He consistently emphasizes how magnificent the rewards are if one
finishes all of college. One of the reasons this essay is rhetorically persuasive is
because of his use of ethos. Bagchi attended UC Berkeley to study Finance and Public
Policy which increases his credibility because he knows exactly how the freshman
class feels and what they are going through. Consequently, advice from someone who
has gone through the exact same thing is a lot easier to take in. It is hard to tell
students how to succeed in school if the adviser did not go through the exact same
thing. For example, if someone tries to give a friend advice on how to deal with a
breakup and that person has never been through one, chances are that it would not be that
profitable advice because they do not know how it feels to go through a heartbreak
therefore they cannot relate to them. Credibility is important when writingan essay, but so
is grabbing the readers attention. Bagchi uses many examples of pathos throughout the
essay to appeal to the reader s emotions. For instance, he incorporates humor by advising
the students to ignore the Instagram alerts of kids postponing higher education to travel
(Bagchi, 2017, p. 1). This can bring a smile to the readers face because they understand
exactly how it feels to
Ontario Human Rights Case
The Ontario human rights case is about Micheal bates, he alleged that he was
discriminated against because Zurich insurance charged him higher premiums for his
automobile insurance than a young, single female driver with the same driving record or
drivers over the age of 25.

In the case above, I am gearing towards discrimination all young drivers are not on the
same level. The insurance company is failing to consider different perspectives or not
planning on including all drivers. Even if the insurance company didn t intend to cause
the barriers it s still considered discrimination based on Michaels gender, age and martial
status. It s a negative stereotype and biases against Micheal because the individual is
being judged based on negative feelings towards the gender. We have all heard statements
about young male ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As I mentioned above the focus is on increasing insurance rates on males based on their
age, gender, and marital status. Insurance companies like to increase insurance for
males for the reasons above. Instead of making it equal access for everyone and starting
off with a flat, basic rate that would go up based on speeding tickets and accident claims.

The prohibited ground will protect Micheal, he was discriminated against because of
his association with a gender, marital status and age. The code prohibits discrimination
because of age in all social areas including employment. It is called ageism its thinking
about a person based on negative stereotypes, there is also evidence of martial status in
the case the policies and actions are based on the stereotype of marriage. With a young
man being married it s assumed that he will be less likely to drive fast or risky.

The exceptions under the OHRC is not relateable, the category does not include any
specific defences and exceptions that would allow the behaviour to be otherwise
