Sci200 Lesson Plan 7es

The daily lesson plan is for a 4th grade science class. The objectives are for students to explain how force affects the movement of objects. During the lesson, the teacher will engage students with a game to introduce push and pull forces. The teacher will then present and explain how forces can start or stop motion, change speed and direction of moving objects. Students will do activities to demonstrate their understanding of push and pull forces and how forces impact the movement of objects.

Date and 8:00am-9:00am Quarter Third Quarter
Time

I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standard Performs/applies different forces to move objects.

B. Performance Standard Demonstrates understanding that force can change the movement of
objects

C. Learning Explain the effects of force on the movement of an object(S4FE-IIIa-1).

Competency/ )
Objectives At the end of the lesson, the learners will be able to:
1.infer that the force can affect the movement of an object.

2. Explain how force affects the movement of an object.

3. Describe the effect of force on the movement of an object

1. Elicit
Begin the lesson by briefly reviewing what you learned in the past lesson. The
teacher will ask guide questions to the students.

(no lesson to review first demonstrator)

B. During the Lesson 2. Engage

The teacher will going to introduce a game about a mobile game, 4 pic one
words. And will divide the class into two group and the student should guess the
word fits for the picture being shown to them.

In this activity, each group should have representative to paste the correct word
in front of the class.

3. Explore
And now the teacher will present a power point about push and full.

(presenting a powerpoint)
The teacher will ask the student after the presentation
Now, based on the video you watched
Can you define what is force?
What is push and pull?
The teacher will show some picture and ask the student randomly about pull and
push for their better understanding.
4. Explain

Force are all around us they affect our surroundings and us. We cannot see force
but we can feel them or sees their effects.

But what are the effect of a force on the movement of an object?

First.
Force can make a stationary object move.
an object at rest will remain at rest unless acted upon by a net external force.

Next one.
Force can make the moving object stop.
if an object is already moving, applying a force in the opposite direction can
cause it to slow down and eventually stop.

Third.
Force can change the speed of a moving object.
It states that the acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net force
acting on it and inversely proportional to its mass. In simpler terms, if you apply
a force to a moving object, you can change its speed.

Last.
Force can change the direction of a moving object
When a force is applied to a moving object at an angle to its current direction of
motion, it can cause the object to change its path or direction.
5. Elaborate
Ask the student the following question about the discussion.
 Can we see the force?
 Can we feel the force?
 What is push and pull?
 What happen to the object if you use force?
For there better understanding,
The teacher will group the student into two group and each group should
choose the effect of force to a movement of an object and their going to role
play it.

6. Evaluate

The teacher will give worksheets to the students. They will have 10 minutes to
answer the quiz.

(See worksheet below)

provided for.
