Homeroom Guidance Module 14
Ask somebody from your family to help you in accomplishing the chart indicating different
categories of Life like SELF, FAMILY, FRIENDS/NEIGHBORS, ORGANIZATIONS,
COMMUNITY/SOCIETY and ENVIRONMENT. Copy the chart below on a clean sheet of
paper and write what you perceived as your duties and responsibilities in each category.

1. How do you find the activity?
- I find the activity easy because I know all my duties and
responsibilities in every category of my life.
2. Was it difficult to write down your responsibilities? Why? Why not?
- It’s not difficult to write down my own responsibilities because I know
what my responsibilities are by understanding the aspects of my life
that are within my control.
3. In which category do you feel you have the most responsibilities? Explain.
- I have the most responsibilities in myself. Taking responsibilities in
myself helps me take control of my choices and my own perceived
reality. It also helps me regulate my life properly and prevents me from
derailing my mental and physical health.

category for which you feel the greatest should be written on the highest branch and the
least should be on the lowest branch of the tree. Lastly, you identify and write down
below how they demonstrate and fulfill their duties and responsibilities for each
category.

1. How did you feel while ranking the different categories of life?
- Ranking the different categories of life gives me difficulties
because they are all important to me but I was happy because I’m
finally done ranking them.
2. Which experiences related to performing one’s responsibilities helped in
shaping who you are at present?
- Being a student leader is one of my experiences related to
performing one’s responsibilities that helped me shaping who I am
right now. Being a student leader allows me to communicate with
other people and set an example to the members.
3. Why is it important to perform one’s responsibilities?
- It is important to perform one’s responsibilities because it is a
necessary aspect of life. It provides a sense of purpose, in addition
to building resilience amidst adversity on an individual. Its also a
defining trait in building a person’s character.

then identify what are the positive skills developed which are very helpful in dealing with
more responsibilities in life in the future.

1. Have you internalized how tough and positive a person you are?
- Yes, being tough and positive are fundamental to living our best life. It also
aids in our ability to take risks, try new things, and cope with any difficult
situations that life may throw at us
2. Do you think that the life challenges that you will encounter will be easier to deal with
because of what you have learned and with the positive skills developed in solving them?
Why?
- Yes, the things that I learned in terms of positivity helps me because
positivity influence the way I am thinking. It helps me remove stress and think
of a better way or solution in a particular moment.
3. Are you willing to share and help others to conquer their challenges in life? How?
- I am more than willing to help others to conquer their challenges in life in
any possible ways that I can. I can help them by expressing concern, give
them reassurance, and offering them my time to listen.

grandparent, aunt/uncle, cousin, neighbor, teacher/ school personnel, fellow learner or
someone in your community.

1. What can you say about the three inspiring citizens in the activity as well as
your model citizen in your family?
- The three inspiring citizens in the activity as well as my model citizen
in our family are good in handling any difficult situations while also
working hard in achieving their goals. They are facing a lot of
challenges in life, but that didn’t stop them in doing the things they like
and showing their talents and skills.
2. What characteristics do you think that they have that enabled them to be
successful even during a difficult situation?
- The characteristics I think they have that enabled them to be
successful even during a difficult situation are drive, self-reliance,
willpower, patience, integrity, passion, optimism, and self-confidence.
3. Do you want to be like them? Why or why not? If yes, how?
- I want to be successful like them despite the hardships in life. They
have their own talents and goals to achieve and as for me, one of my
goals is to become a successful business owner or businesswoman
someday. It requires a good education in the field so I’ll work hard and
study everything I need to know about business.
