The Pangi Elementary School held a PTA conference to discuss strengthening the gulayan sa paaralan (school garden) program. The goals of the school garden are to use it as an outdoor classroom, source vegetables for school meals, teach students gardening skills, and engage the community. Activities included cleaning the school garden area. The garden is now ready to harvest vegetables which will provide better nutrition for students. The stakeholders are pleased with the accomplishments of the school garden.

PTA CONFERENCE ON GULAYAN SA PAARALAN

OVERVIEW:
To strengthening the implementation of gulayan sa paaralan program, the PTA
Officers and the Supreme Student Government (SSG), promotes the organic and
healthy way of living by planting vegetables in the garden.
OBJECTIVE/S:
The project aims to:
 Aims to establish Gulayan sa Paaralan as a laboratory facility that promotes learning to
every student;
 to maintain school garden as vegetable sources to sustain school feeding;
 to practice and develop students in planting vegetables;
 to provide a sense of responsibility to the students, teachers, and community in charge
of maintaining the said facility;
to actively engage and share the responsibility with stakeholders in the construction and
management
ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED:

Pangi Elementary School stakeholders started cleaning / cutting grasses in


our school garden
CURRENT STATUS:

School garden of Pangi ES is ready to harvest.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS/ISSUES/ CONCERNS:

PES produced healthy vegetables for better health and nutrition of young learners.
