FACILITATING DEMO

DAY 1
 Assume check:
- CBT workshop areas
- All documents
- Materials, tools, equipment ( Projector, Laptop)
- CBLM
- Progress chart and achievement chart

 All are ready I can now start the training

 Good morning trainees!

 Welcome to Dipolog School of Fisheries, a TESDA accredited training center

 Let us check your attendance, once I called your name raise your hand and
please sign your attendance sheet… (call the trainees name and let them sign
the attendance sheet)

 I have here the data gathering tool for trainees’ characteristics and self-
assessment checklist this will help me determine your background and
experiences of your current competencies relevant in this qualification. I will
give you 10 minutes to answer this and read the instruction carefully.

 According to the questioner that I have here it seems that MR Austero has a
relevant experience in _____________________NC II that’s good… Ms
Monreal.. don’t worry if you don’t have current knowledge about the
qualification, that is the reason why you have this training so that you can
also experience it..

 Without much ado, let’s start our proper orientation in

 I divided our topic into 7 parts…..

 So, lets start with the first part w/c is the CBT (read ppt)

 next, 10 principles of cbt


1. read only
2. read and explain-this means that you have to finished first the first
competency before you can proceed to the next competency in other
words it is a pre-requisite. You have to complete all the modules to
qualified with this qualification
3. read and explain – that is why i gathered here your experiences so that
your training will be personalized according to your needs and it is self-
paced because you will be the one responsible for your own learning.
4. read and explain- this means that our training here in DSF is related or
in accordance as prescribed in the industry standards. What we do here
is actually done in the industry.
5. Read……(diretso na daun sa #10)

 So that was the 10 principles of cbt


 So, let’s tackle the comparative analysis between Traditional approach and
cbt approach

 Read first TA….this means it is teacher centered


 Read first CBT-A….this means it is learners centered
 Read 2nd approach….this is one of the 10 principles of cbt that you have
various entry and exit in our programs.
 Read 3rd approach
-TA…even though you are already done with that certain training still you
have to do it again
-CBT-A….if you are done with a certain training you don’t have to undergo it
again and you can proceed with other competency.

 Qualification overview (read ppt)

 Read the basic, common, core competencies

 These core competencies are the most important, because we need to


complete or finished all of this core competencies to be able to be competent
in ______________________NC __

 Next CBLM (read the ppt…..meaning…preliminary pages….)

- information sheets - learning content


- self-check – immediate evaluation of your understanding based on what
you read in the information sheets
- answer key – immediate feedback of self-check

 So, let’s proceed to methodology (read ppt)


- Lecture/discussion – just like what I am doing now
- Demonstration – for your skills
- Brainstorming – used to develop creative thinking specially in designing
graphic design.

 What is the difference between achievement chart and progress chart?

 Here in achievement chart I will record your achievement on a particular


learning outcome or in other words it is your daily activity.

 While in Progress chart I will record the competency that you already
completed.

 Training activity matrix this will be our guide throughout our training
process.

 Practical work area – this area is where the learners acquire skill and
knowledge components of the competencies prescribed by the industry
standard.

 Learning resource area – this area provides the learner with the knowledge
requirements into the various modules responding to the competencies.

 Institutional assessment area – this is where recognition of prior learning is


done by the trainer or this is the assessment area.

 Contextual learning laboratory – this area ensures that the underpinning


knowledge, science, mathematics, communication principles applied into
technology that are provided into the learner.

 Quality control area – this is the area where various test is conducted
including in-progress quality control

 Trainers resource area – this area are the houses of learning materials; the
training regulator and curriculum exemplars will be found.

 Distance learning area – area for the print and non-print media

 Computer laboratory - this area has an array of computer units provided to the
learners for them to use…so since our qualification is visual graphic design
so this area will be our workplace.

 Support service area – this area has the value adding competencies addressing
the underpinning skills in the particular competency.

 Okay were done with our tour, so let’s go back to our contextual learning
laboratory.
 For your assignment, for those who check yes on the self-assessment
checklist please bring your proof or evidence of your current competencies
tomorrow..

pass your proof/evidence.

 Thank you, mr. Austero, I have here your diploma, so you are a graduate of
BS _______________________…. that’s good but still I need to validate
your skills through written exam, actual demonstration, and oral questioning.
Okay?

 Let me present to you our training activity matrix this will be our guide
throughout our training process

 For today mr Austero, I will assign you in institutional assessment area while
ms. Monreal will be assigned in contextual learning laboratory.
 Mr. Austero please proceed to institutional assessment area for the validation
of your prior learning.

 MS. Monreal, since you don’t have a relevant experience in


______________________NC II, I will let you start in the first module. I will
give you this information sheets 1.1 ____________________, after that
answer self-check and compare your answers with the answer key… and
perform the task on the job sheet 1.1 for your actual demonstration, written
test and oral questioning, you can use the ___________________________ in
practicing your job sheet okay? if you have questions please don’t hesitate to
ask me…I will be back after 2 hours. You may begin now…

 Okay mr. Austero, for the validation of your prior learning I will give you a
written test, demonstration and oral questioning? are you ready?

 For your written test, this is 30 items test and I will give you 30 minutes to
answer this.. read the instruction carefully(distribute written test)

 I will give you now your post test. these is your 30 items posttest, the test
questions here is the same with your pre-test..i will give you 30 minutes to
answer this and read the direction carefully

 Give me a moment to check your answers

 Okay for mr. Austero, the result of your pre-test is 25/30 while your post test
is 29/30 …While ms. Monreal your pre-test is 24/30 while your post test is
28/30…. congratulations this means that all of you improved your skills and
knowledge in this training.

 For that I will award all of you this certificate of completion for successfully
completed all the units of competency in _____________________NC II.

 Distribute certificate of completion for T#1 and T#2

 I also have here training evaluation forms – please rate our training center as
well as me as your trainer this will help us determine the areas of training that

 I also have here application form for the national assessment. Please do fill
this out and go to TESDA Provincial Office or any TESDA ACAC for your
application and bring 3 pcs passport size picture with white background and
with collar shirt and _____ pesos assessment fee.
 And this is the schedule of the upcoming national assessment for
___________________NC II …and I will recommend all of you to take the
national assessment test if you are ready…
