Siver Wing X Comparision - 3di

The document summarizes the key differences between the Floormap FM 3Di and Floormap X magnetic flux leakage examination equipment. The Floormap X has improvements such as being able to inspect thicker coatings up to 10 mm, scan at variable speeds from 0.5 to 1 m/s, operate at lower temperatures, and have a reduced dead zone of 174mm at plate corners. It also has new features like active steering to inspect critical zones within 20mm of the shell to weld and laser guidance to easily mark defect locations.

Section Reference Changes / Modifications as applicable to Floormap X

1.1 Inspection thickness range – 4 mm up to 20 mm.
2.3 Inspections on through coatings up to 10 mm.
2.4 Scanning Speed – 0.5m/s to 1 m/s.
2.4 Operating temperature: -10 deg C to 45 deg C
2.4 Weight: - Assembled weight 63 kg
9.1 Battery – 28.8V 9Ah
10.2.5 Sensor head height – Adjustable bridge height Low & high position.
10.7 Asper manufacture recommended 10% of MFL indications need to verify any prove up
method MUT or PAUT, final concluded owner of the tank.
12.1 Hand scan not applicable for Floormap X as the minimum required clearance will be
150 mm (under pipe / pipe supports)
12.5.2 Dead zone – 174mm Each square plate corner
12.5.3 Critical Zone coverage – Precision active steering facilitates available in this
equipment, the inspection of the critical zone to within 20mm of the Shell to
Annular weld.
12.5.4 Dead zone physical limit to the proximity to lap weld -20 mm floor plate all
periphery
Additional Features Laser guide – MFL indications location marking of the floor fast and easy, the laser
will assist defect location. (Refer below picture # 1)
LED light – obstacles can be identified easily during scanning and product -side-
pitting finding it will help in visual inspection.
Annular curvature can be achieved by using active steering option.
Easy handling and transporting (two boxes)
