STATS PROB Long Test

The document contains a practice test on probability and statistics concepts. It has four sections with multiple choice, true/false, short answer, and calculation questions related to discrete vs continuous variables, properties of probability distributions, the normal distribution, and using the z-table. The test covers topics like mean, variance, standard deviation, and finding probabilities and areas under the normal curve.

10. The number of households with television

Test II.TRUE OR FALSE: Write True if the statement is true and write False if the statement is false.
11. A random variable can only be discrete
12. In discrete probability distribution, the sum of the probabilities for all possible outcomes must 1

15. The area under the entire standard normal curve is equal to 1
16. The z-table is used to find probabilities associated with the standard normal distribution
17. The mean of a normal distribution is always equal to 0
18. The variance of a probability distribution is the average of the squared difference between each
value and the mean.
19. The standard deviation provides a measure of the spread or variability of a probability distribution
20. The concept of the normal distribution is applicable only to small sample sizes.
