About IGIT
The Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (IGIT), Sarang is a towering
institution located in the geographic heart of Odisha's coal capital. One of
the most sought-after destinations for higher education by engineering,
fundamental science, and technical enthusiasts. It is one of the best
government engineering institutes in the state of Odisha. In addition to
this, the institute boasts a sizable, hygienic, and well-maintained campus.

At forty-two years old, our institute is among the most esteemed technical
institutes under the government of Odisha. The University Grants
Commission (UGC), New Delhi, has designated IGIT, Sarang to be an
independent institution. Our institution is TEQIP-III funded, NBA
accredited, and AICTE approved and accepts close to 1500 students
annually for various programs.

About HORIZON

Horizon: The Techno-Cultural-Lit Fest of IGIT, Sarang, regularly draws

over 5000 enthusiastic thinkers who are constructing a welcoming
environment to push the boundaries of knowledge for the benefit of
society. Horizon provides a platform for engineering students to mix their
technical knowledge and talents with other students' artistic expression
and their cultural interests.

This integration results in an extensive range of activities, such as

technical workshops, artistic performances, and multidisciplinary contests.
It provides an excellent platform for students to cooperate and network
with industry experts.

Horizon assists students in developing their talents, becoming exposed to

new technology and ideas, and making connections that will benefit them
in their future jobs. We celebrate science and technology beyond what it
appears.

Machinery Workshop
The workshop may feature demonstrations and
hands-on sessions conducted by experienced
mechanics and bike enthusiasts. The attendees
may learn how to repair flat tires, adjust brakes
and gears, and replace worn-out components.
They may also learn about various bike
accessories and customization options that can
enhance their riding experience.

EV Workshop
A workshop on Tata Motors could cover a range of
topics related to the company's history,
innovation, technology, and products. The
workshop could be tailored to a specific audience,
such as engineering students, automotive
enthusiasts, or professionals in the automotive
industry.

DRONE Workshop
The workshop may feature demonstrations and
hands-on sessions conducted by experienced
drone pilots and trainers. The attendees may
learn about the different types of drones, their
components, and how they function. They may
also learn about the different types of sensors and
cameras that can be used with drones and how to
operate them.

STAR NIGHT (DAY-1)

The comedy performances may cover a wide
range of topics, from pop culture and current
events to everyday life experiences and
observational humour. The aim is to bring light-
hearted entertainment to the students and
provide them with a break from their academic
schedules.

STAR NIGHT (DAY-2)

Star Night is one of the most anticipated events in
a fest, especially in a cultural festival. It is typically
an evening event that showcases the talents of
famous singers, dancers, and musicians. The aim
is to create an atmosphere of entertainment and
enjoyment for the attendees of the festival.

EDM NIGHT (DAY-3)

During the event, the DJ plays a variety of music
genres such as EDM, hip-hop, pop, and other
popular music. The aim is to create a lively and
upbeat atmosphere, and keep the crowd
entertained and engaged throughout the night. In
addition to playing music, the DJ may use lighting
effects, smoke machines, and other special
effects to enhance the atmosphere of the event.
The music and the visuals work together to create
an immersive experience for the attendees.
