For generations, our technical fest TechTatva has remained an unwavering success. It fills me with
immense pleasure and pride as we take the stage to host yet another edition of this breathtaking technical
extravaganza. We wish to provide an opportunity for uniting aspiring innovators across India, allowing them
to collaborate, compete, and create a forum for intellectual exchange and innovation. Let us equip the next
generation of technologists with the skills and vision to lead us into a better tomorrow on the lines of the
Government of India's Viksith Bharath initiative.

At MIT Manipal, we foster communication with students from every corner of the nation, nurturing a unity of
thought. During the fest, our campus pulsates with a diverse array of events, workshops, and exhibitions,

and put them to the test.

With a history spanning more than six decades and a vibrant student population of over
8000, MIT Manipal is renowned for its learner-centric approach to engineering education in
India. The college proudly affiliates with esteemed societies like SAE, IEEE, ASME and
BMESI, forming the bedrock of an array of technical clubs that empower students to refine
their skills. In this spirited context, we proudly present MIT's flagship annual event -
TechTatva.

Elevate your TechTatva experience with Acumen! Embark on a tech adventure, solving
complex problems, hunting for treasures, and cracking puzzles that ignite your critical
thinking. Join us for a thrilling blend of innovation and excitement, where you'll
challenge your skills and have a blast along the way.

Tessaract
Participants must solve complex clues and riddles to locate and collect strategically
placed tokens across the campus. This exciting and competitive event encourages
participants to channel their problem-solving skills and strategic thinking in a race
against time. The first day serves as an elimination round, narrowing the competition
down to the top eight teams. These teams will then compete on Day 2 for the ultimate
prize as they embark on the final quest to retrieve the hidden treasure.

Hopeless Opus
Hopeless Opus is a story-based quiz conducted online. This thrilling choose-your-own-
adventure game features multiple branching paths where your decisions have a
significant impact. Players must navigate various scenarios, each choice leading to a
unique outcome.

Does aviation fascinate you? Does a plane flying overhead spark your curiosity? Join us
at Aeroverse and dive deep into the world of aeronautics. Put your aircraft design skills
to the test in our competitions.

Icarus
Challenge your engineering and piloting skills by participating in the task of designing
and constructing an on-the-spot glider within the time constraints, utilizing the
materials provided. This offline event is designed to be highly competitive, putting your
abilities to the test. The climax of this challenge arrives when one of your team
members hand-launches the glider, putting your creation to the ultimate test.

Skyrush
SkyRush requires the participating teams to design, build, and fly a radio-controlled
(RC) aircraft that can carry a specified liquid payload and complete a designated
mission path. The competition shall have 3 separate rankings for the design report,
online presentation, and mission flight score respectively. This will ensure that teams
with a low budget and other logistical constraints will still be able to fight for a rank in
the design report and technical presentation rounds.

EcoCircuit Challenge
Get ready for the EcoCircuit Challenge, where Innovation Meets
Sustainability! Equipped with a kit of random electronic components, you’ll
race to design creative solutions for today’s environmental issues. Think
big, build smart, and use your ingenuity to turn your kit into
groundbreaking, sustainable tech. Be part of the movement shaping a
brighter, greener future!

Get ready for a thrilling business showdown with two events! In the first, teams
compete in Monopoly, investing in tech and assets based on quiz results. The

Monopoly
Get ready for the ultimate business challenge at Monopoly! Shortlisted teams
will be assigned companies and, based on their quiz performance, receive a
purse to invest in cutting-edge tech and operational assets. After acquiring
their resources, they'll scramble to form alliances and craft presentations
addressing a key question provided at the start. It’s a thrilling test of strategy,
collaboration, and innovation—who will come out on top?

Quandry
A diverse group of business leaders, including the startup founder, finance
head, marketing director, and other key players, come together to form a united
team. Each member brings their unique expertise and perspective to the table,
working collaboratively to develop strategies, solve complex problems, and
overcome challenges.

This category features fast-paced events that challenge participants' coding skills and problem-

MIT Open
This thrilling coding contest is the crown jewel of TechTatva, offering participants a two-day journey
through the exhilarating world of competitive programming. Designed in the prestigious ACM-ICPC style,
the event challenges teams to think quickly, collaborate effectively, and solve intricate problems under
pressure.

Capture The Flag

The Capture The Flag (CTF) competition is a prestigious cybersecurity event where participants
engage in solving complex challenges to obtain digital flags. This competition evaluates and
refines skills in cryptography, vulnerability exploitation, and advanced problem-solving.

Cryptic Finds
Cryptic Finds is a thrilling virtual adventure where participants follow a gripping storyline to
uncover hidden flags. Each flag reveals new clues and challenges, some requiring coding skills,
blending problem-solving with narrative progression. With a diverse mix of challenges, riddles,
and puzzles—all infused with a technical twist.

CUBING
The Rubik’s Cube being the world’s best selling toy is also often a symbol of passion and identity
for people across the globe. Cubing has reached a new level of enthusiasm with new cube variants
made with different shapes, sizes, colors. These cubes put your hand-eye or rather muscle-eye
coordination to a test.

3x3 Cube Speed Solve

A classic test of speed and skill, where participants compete to solve the standard 3x3 cube in the
shortest time possible. Precision and speed are key, and the fastest solver will be crowned the
winner.

Cube Relay
In this dynamic team event, three participants take turns solving cube variations, a 3x3, a 2x2 and
a Pyramix. Collaboration and speed are essential as the team with the quickest overall solve time
claims victory.

2x2 Cube Speed Solve

This fast-paced event challenges participants to solve the 2x2 cube with precision and speed. The
competitor who completes the puzzle in the shortest time will take home the title of fastest solver.

An escape room-based event where the participating teams must clear each floor of
the building by solving puzzles and finding passwords to reach the final floor and
escape.

Kinetic Kreations
Kinetic Kreations is your opportunity to unleash your creativity by building a Rube
Goldberg machine! In this event, you'll design and construct intricate chain
reactions that showcase both innovation and efficiency. It's a test of imagination,
engineering, and teamwork—are you ready to create a kinetic masterpiece.

This category offers a thrilling mix of challenges designed to push your skills to the limit.
Whether you're diving deep into data, racing against the clock in a battle of wits, or crafting
stunning designs, Epoch has something for everyone.

iDesign
iDesign is a UI/UX competition where participants are given an app or web design brief for a
specific use case. They are tasked with creating a detailed and functional design using Figma.
The competition emphasizes creativity, usability, and design principles, with the best
submission being declared the winner.

Order of Chaos
Order of Chaos - The Ultimate Speed and Strategy Showdown. Whether you're a coding pro or
just know how to type, you can dive into thrilling coding challenges or speed typing duels. Earn
points, attack your rivals, and defend your lead in a contest full of skill, strategy, and
adrenaline.

Moral Metrics
The Moral Metrics Datathon is a Data Analysis event where participants use publicly available
datasets and analyze them to address ethical questions. It emphasizes data sourcing,
analysis, and effective presentation while highlighting ethical considerations in data-driven
decision-making, fostering both technical and ethical skills in real-world data applications.

 ESCAPE VELOCITY
This category pushes participants to demonstrate their creativity and engineering
skills in rocketry. From hands-on building to virtual simulations, teams will design,
launch, and test rockets, combining practical experience with innovative digital tools
to achieve top performance.
Bottle-Rocket Competition
The teams must use creativity and analytical thinking to make a bottle-rocket, with
the intention for it to reach maximum range. They are free to use appropriate
materials and a plastic bottle that they will have to bring themselves. The teams will
be given 90 minutes to construct the rocket, after which they will launch it. The teams
whose rockets reach the farthest range on launching at a given angle and are in the
best condition post launch will be deemed the winners.

Virtual Rocket Building

This event will be a combination of a Workshop (referred to as Round-1 ahead) on
OpenRocket which is a model rocket simulator, followed by a Virtual Rocket Building
competition (referred to as Round-2 ahead) using the ORK software which will give
rocket enthusiasts a chance to build their first own virtual rocket and see if their
designs.

Off Road Mayhem

Unleash your creativity and engineering prowess at the BuildBot Racetrack
Challenge! Join us for a thrilling journey of robotics as participants craft their own
ingenious robots from scratch. Guided by their technical expertise, teams will
navigate through a dynamic obstacle course, showcasing their bots agility, speed,
and problem-solving skills. Witness the fusion of innovation and competition as these
mechanical marvels sprint towards victory.

Rapid Rebuild
Participants will be formed into teams wherein they will be given multiple
disassembled mechanical devices along with its parts assembled picture. The team
which assembles the models most accurately in the shortest time period possible will
be the winner.

Chakravyuh 5.0
Join us on a thrilling two-day journey inspired by the ancient Chakravyuh tactics from the
Mahabharata. Dive into a world of intellectual conquests, where your abilities will be
challenged through diverse, fun, and strategically demanding challenges. Like Chakravyuh,
contestants must solve each round to progress to the next. Day one is the elimination round,
where the top 8 teams will be selected. Day two features a five- stage event, with each stage
becoming progressively tougher. Join us for this exciting adventure where intellect and
strategy are your keys to success!

Sleuths & Ladders

Welcome to Sleuths and Ladders, an exhilarating two-round event that will test your wits,
problem-solving skills, and quick thinking. This event combines the thrill of a detective-style
riddle quest with the fun and excitement of a human-sized Snake and Ladders game. Gather
your team, put on your thinking caps, and get ready for an unforgettable adventure.
