Introduction

An internship report is a summary of internship experience that many employers require to complete your time at their organization. The
internship report is important because it informs your education of the lesson and skills you learned and the opportunities you had to apply
those skills.
Interns are expected to teach only 30 to 40 percent of a full teaching load. This includes under the guidance of the mentor teacher
responsibility for all aspects of teaching and students for one class within a partial teaching load, in the remainder of the time.
Internship is important for gain experience and increase marketability. Internships are a great way to apply knowledge from the classroom
to real-world experience. Learning is one thing, but taking those skills into the class and applying them is a great way to explore different
career paths and specializations that suits individual interests, skills, communication, leadership, problem solving and teamwork can be
learned through an internship and utilized beyond that experience.
Internship is important for fresher because it gives idea to how to do the work with objectives. Develop and improve skills in
communication, technology, quantitative reasoning and teamwork.
Observe and participate in business operations and decision making. Meeting the professional role model, potential mentors who can
provide proper guidance, feedback and support.
Infrastructure
Introduction

For those who love to read and study, any place can be good to read and learn. They might argue that the space you are in does not matter,
that knowledge is immaterial, that the physical context is secondary, and that what is important is to concentrate in what you are reading.

But if we transfer this reasoning to the reality of educational systems, the empiric evidence is flagrant: having rooms and learning spaces
in good conditions is decisive for students to achieve the expected academic results. In other words, the conditions of the schools
directly impact the performance of the students.

The fact is that a good school infrastructure, with renewed spaces, makes it possible for children and youths that live in remote
areas to study and, in addition, tends to improve the attendance and interest of students and teachers in learning. For this same reason,
investments in school infrastructure have an essential role in solving access problems of students to the school system and to improve their
performance.

What are the conditions for a quality school infrastructure?

According to the experts, it must at least comply with the following parameters:

● Comfort for students, teachers, and administrators: spaces for teachers and students, with an adequate temperature, ventilation,
and lighting, with water, electricity, and Internet services, as well as sanitary services and the respective drainage of sewage waters.
● Spaces for the development of rehearsals and practices such as libraries, and natural sciences, information technology, physics
and chemistry labs.
● Spaces for the development of talents and entertainment, sports, and culture.

"The improvement of the physical conditions of schools is as closely related to learning as other educational inputs including home
environment, motivation, good teachers, libraries, technologies, or student services".
NEED AND IMPORTANCE OF INFRASTRUCTURAL RESOURCES

Buildings, classrooms, laboratories, and equipment- education infrastructure - are crucial elements of learning environments in schools
and universities. There is strong evidence that high-quality infrastructure facilitates better instruction, improves student outcomes, and
reduces dropout rates, among other benefits.
The design of education infrastructure affects learning through three interrelated factors: naturalness (e.g. light, air
quality), stimulation (e.g. complexity, color), and individualization (e.g. flexibility of the learning space).

1. Attendance and completion of academic cycles Several studies have found that the physical conditions of school buildings
positively affect school completion and cycle completion rates, and increases registration. For example, in Peru the World Bank
found that investments in school facilities had a very significant positive effect on students' attendance rates.

2. Learning results. Studies found positive results which are statistically significant between school infrastructure and standardized
tests to measure learning processes in many parts of the country. With lower student socio-economic levels, the results were higher.
3. Teacher motivation. Evidence in Bangladesh, Ecuador, India, Indonesia, Peru, and Uganda indicates that teachers in schools with
good infrastructure have, on average, 10 percent less absenteeism than teachers in schools with deficient infrastructure. In fact, the
study found that infrastructure had a greater effect reducing absenteeism than teacher salaries or the effect of the administrative
tolerance for absences.
INTRODUCTION TO SCHOOL

Co-curricular activities

INTRODUCTION

Every activity in school life plays a significant role in development of students. Co-curricular activities are an essential part of school life
and helps in enhancing learning process of students at school. Co-curricular activities are compulsory activities which is important for
every student to participate. Co-curricular are designed and balanced with academic curriculum so that every student gets to learn beyond
subjects.

Co-curricular activities are activities that take place outside the classroom but reinforce or supplement classroom curriculum in some way.
They are ungraded and do not offer any form of academic credit, but they do provide complementary learning of some form.
Co-curricular activities can provide students with a lot of interesting and important experiences outside the traditional classroom. Co-
curricular activities allow students to explore strengths and talents outside of academics also helps students develop stronger time-
management and organizational skills. Teaching the importance of following through on commitments. Co-curricular activities give
students the opportunity to build friendships and participate in group activities outside of the tight++
41 circle of the regular classroom also helps to build confidence and self-esteem. And providing a way to keep students supervised outside
of school hours
Building skills which are not necessarily taught in the classroom but are still important for future.
Co-curricular activities bring social skills, intellectual skills, moral values, personality progress and character appeal in students. It includes
athletics, cultural events, Library activities, science lab activities, classroom activities, creative arts and meditation etc.
Co-curricular refers to activities, programs, and learning experiences that complement, in some way, what students are learning in school—
i.e., experiences that are connected to or mirror the academic curriculum. Co-curricular activities are typically, but not always, defined by
their separation from academic courses
NEED AND IMPORTANCE OF CO-CURRICULAR AND EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AT SCHOOL LEVEL

● Proper Education – Since, co-curricular activities are merged with academics therefore, it ensures that students get to learn effectively.
Science or Computer Lab practical, experiments and projects are part of co-curricular activities.

● Cultural Values - Students get to learn by cultural events including national events and traditional events from different faiths
including Gandhi Jayanti, Indepedence Day, Republic Day, as well as Diwali, Eid, Baisaki, Onam, Raksha Bandhan, and many other
cultural events. Students get to learn about these events through books as well as co-curricular activities based on different cultures
organized by Schools.

● Personality Development – Students perform co-curricular activities in schools, which help them sharpen their communication skills,
expression skills, public speaking, participation and sense of belongingness through different activities like debates, recitation. Art and
craft, creative art competitions, classroom activities like reading, group discussions etc.

● Physical and Mental Health – Co-curricular activities require students to stay active at school by participation since, students have no
option to skip these activities as it’s a part of their curriculum. Students have to be a part of co-curricular activities like athletics, gymnastics,
yoga, indoor games, and meditation etc. These activities are beneficial for students’ physical fitness as well as mental health and they
are relieved from academic stress.

● Learning Experience – Co-curricular activities are good for improving students learning experience at school which improves their
attendance at school and increases participation rate by students in co-curricular activities. Of course, students get a really good excuse
for a break from academics.

● Team Leadership Skills – Co-curricular activities at school are designed in groups so that students can participate along with their
classmates. This helps students develop leadership skills, team integrity and coordination skills.

PARTICIPATORY ROLE OF STUDENT TEACHER IN THE ACTIVITY

Teacher’s role was present both before, during and even after the activity. Proper planning for organization of activity, implementation of
the activity and then evaluation was required. Proper management during the activity, finding problems faced by students during the
activity and its resolution. Encouraging the students for showing skills , discipline etc.

Proper announcement with details were made by the teacher, introduction about the tournament , arrangement of equipment , etc. to were
made . Giving ideas to those who were impressive , encouraging students to use their skills , evaluation of participants , announcement of
team .

Overall it could be said that there was no time where the role of teacher was not present.

CO-ORDINATION BETWEEN STUDENT TEACHER IN THE ACTIVITY

Me and my peer had a perfect coordination during the whole activity. As we both have similar thinking and always listen and understand
each other’s points, and then give our views so we never faced any conflicting situation.

Some decisions were taken separately for different points which we shared with each other about conducting the activity and some
decisions were taken together. Proper planning was made in the school as well as on phone. My colleague informed that he had bought
balls and stumps so, I decided to bring extra kits and equipments for the student participants . We both gave the instructions and were
encouraging the students by giving complements to what they were doing.

Even our decision for the team was alike , we decided together about who should be the in the team in consultation with Headmistress
and Sports Director .

There were so many things that were decided on the spot as you cannot plan for every situation in advance but we coordinated beautifully
at that time about the implementation and various other aspects.

MANAGERIAL SKILLS DISPLAYED IN EXECUTION OF THE PROGRAM

We started the selection with the details of how will students be evaluated . what are we looking for in them what are we expecting etc .
Then the students were informed about the tournament . After that all the students were asked to register themselves at the registration
desk . We then instructed them to contact us for any emergency or difficulties they are facing . Batsman were instructed to get ready as per
the numbers given to them . The bowlers were divided into groups according to skills each and they were asked to bowl to pairs . As we
had planned everything in advance so it was convenient for us to manage the things peacefully in accordance with time.

We saw lot of students facing issues as they were facing leather ball for the first time so they properly guided . Also care was taken that
students will wear proper safety kits while batting

We encouraged the students and informed that the winners of the competition will be awarded with beautiful prizes. We were also giving
innovative ideas to the students in accordance with their drawing.

We instructed them to use colors as soon as possible and not to waste too much time on just drawing. We were also reminding them about
the left-over time after every 15 minutes and told them to complete their work as soon as possible.
We started noticing the paintings of all students from the start of competition to have an idea while evaluating the drawing sheets to find
the winners.

We then collected sheets soon after the end of stipulated time. Me and my colleague both agreed with the 1 st winner as his painting was
unique with great idea and neatness, coloring and creativity could be easily seen in his painting. We were confused about second and third
positions so we decided to place all the sheets on the floor so that we can have a look at each painting at the same time and can compare
them easily and quickly. This made our work easy.

After that we announced the 3rd winner then second and then first winner and distributed them the prizes.

ENCOURAGEMENT AND OPPORTUNITIES GIVEN TO STUDENTS

Some student love sports especially cricket while some don’t. So, after knowing about the selection many of the students were excited
and few were not. Students were notified fifteen days prior selection, so that they can get proper preparation time for the selection .

1. Students were free to ask any help they required .

2. We gave the a small talk before the start of the selection so that they should have an idea about the selection process

3. We noticed few students very confused and were hesitant to ask for necessary help . We approached them and the necessary help and
equipment were provided

4. Students were informed that participants will be awarded marks and students who perform well can be selected at higher level i.e State
level , district level etc.

5. We informed students that they can have a career in sports and earn very well such as IPL players or Ranji Players .
STUDENT RESPONSE AND SCOPE FOR OTHER SKILL DEVELOPMENT
Organised sport has many psychological and social benefits for children – even more than the physical activity during play. Researchers think this is because
children benefit from the social side of being in a team, and from the involvement of other children and adults.

Life skills and its association with sports

Sport isn't just a good way to keep children's bodies healthy, but it also has psychological benefits and teaches them important life skills too .Organised sport
has many psychological and social benefits for children – even more than the physical activity during play. Researchers think this is because children benefit
from the social aspects of being in a team, and from the involvement of other children and adults.

Benefits of child's development from sport .

The benefits of participating in sport go beyond learning new physical skills. Sport helps children develop better ways to cope with the highs and lows of life.
When they're playing sport, sometimes they will win, while at other times they will lose. Being a good loser takes maturity and practice. Losing teaches
children to overcome disappointment, cope with unpleasant experiences and is an important part of becoming resilient .Playing sport helps children learn to
control their emotions and channel negative feelings in a healthy way. It also helps children develop patience and understand that it can take a lot of practice to
improve their skills. Children can then apply skills like perseverance and resilience in other areas of their life, including in the classroom at school and with
other non-sporting hobbies.

Physical activity has been shown to stimulate brain chemicals (called neurotransmitters) that make you feel better. Playing sport regularly improves children's
overall emotional wellbeing. Research shows a link between playing sport and self-esteem in children. The support of the team, a kind word from a coach, or
achieving their personal best will all help children feel more confident

Social benefits of participating in team sports

Playing in a team helps children develop many of the social skills they will need throughout life. It teaches them to cooperate, be less selfish, and to listen to
other children.

It also gives children a sense of belonging. It helps them make new friends and builds their social circle outside school.

An important part of playing in a team is accepting discipline. Playing sport means children are expected to follow rules, accept decisions and understand that
they could be penalised for bad behaviour. It teaches them to take directions from the coach, referees and other adults. Sport also teaches them about teamwork.
Parents play an important role in sports
To keep your child interested and enjoying sport, make it a positive experience for them. Focus on having fun, having a go and being active, rather than
winning or losing. You can help your child develop a positive sporting attitude by praising the team’s or other children’s efforts, even if they don’t win. Point
out to your child how important it is to try and do their best. Make sure your comments from the sidelines are positive, and don’t criticise children who make
mistakes. Never abuse a team, umpire or other player.

Developmental benefits

PROBLEM FACED DURING ACTIVITY AND ITS OVER COMING STRATEGIES

As everything was planned before, we did not faced many problems as such. We managed everything on time. Yes, there were situations
which were not preplanned as we had never though of them but we managed them beautifully with co-ordination. E.g. it was not decided
who will take the responsibility of refreshment for the selectors and we fell a lil short with the refreshments for students so at the last
minute it was managed

At afternoon we both realized that there are so many participants and we don’t have enough time for selection . We had to make a
quick decision and we both didn’t want to make any unfair decision. So we discussed and decided that we will shortlist the good players
and fine tune from the shortlisted ones

it was difficult to make a decision by looking at the participants only once but that was a call we took unanimously

STRATEGY USED

We placed all students Infront and divided them into groups according to their skill set . This really made our work easy and we
were happy with the selection process
