A. Preliminary Activities
1.Prayer
Before proceeding to our lesson this morning, In the name the father, and of the Son and the

Now, I will group you into two groups. I have here a


series of puzzle you need to arrange the puzzle.

Our topic for today is all about synonyms

But before we proceed to our proper discussion, I want


you all to read our objectives.
Everybody read a. Identify synonyms of a word
b. Appreciate the use of synonyms through
writing and;
c. Write words and its synonyms

D. Discussion

Now, I have question what is synonyms? Synonyms are words with the same meaning.
Very good!
Synonyms are words with the same meaning (almost
exact meaning of the same word). We use synonyms to
make a sentence more interesting. Repeating one word
can get boring. This is why synonyms are use.

Here are some examples of synonyms;

E. Application

Now, we will have a group activity, the class


will be divided into 2 groups the star group and
the apple group. Each group will write 10
words and its corresponding synonyms. Write
it on a cartolina. You will be given 5 minutes to
finish the task. Presentation of the output will
follow.
F. Generalization

So, we have discussed everything about


synonyms.
Synonyms are words with the same meaning
Again, what do we mean when we say (almost exact meaning of the same word). We
synonyms? use synonyms to make a sentence more
interesting.
