Reflection 1
Title: Augmented reality vs. virtual reality: AR and VR made clear
Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOKJDCqvvMk&t=8s
I. Summary:
Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) are cutting-edge technologies
with distinct functionalities. They're the hottest two technologies going these days
AR overlays additional information or graphics onto the real world, interacting
with your surroundings. It's often accessed through AR apps on phones or
dedicated AR glasses. AR is evolving into Mixed Reality (MR), blending real and
virtual elements seamlessly. Connected head-up displays, like Google Glass, offer
AR without location indexing.
VR replaces your real environment entirely with a computer-generated virtual
world. It provides immersive experiences, allowing users to navigate and interact
within 360° and three-dimensional spaces.VR systems were tethered to consoles or
PCs, modern headsets integrate electronics or companion processors for greater
mobility.
Both AR and VR are pretty green and have a long way to go before they hopefully
merge into a pretty smooth continuum of abilities, whereas right now it can be a
little hard for the average user to knit them together

2. Reflection
The lesson provides a clear and concise overview of both augmented reality (AR)
and virtual reality (VR), distinguishing between the two technologies and their
respective functionalities. Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) are
undoubtedly revolutionary technologies with enormous potential to reshape
various industries and human experiences. VR immerses users in entirely synthetic
environments, offering unprecedented opportunities for simulation, training, and
entertainment. On the other hand, AR overlays digital information in the real
world, enhancing our perception and interaction with our surroundings. Both
technologies have their distinct strengths and applications, but their widespread
adoption and integration into daily life will require further advancements in
hardware, software, and user experience design. Finally, experiencing VR and AR
directly is essential to fully grasping their transformative potential.
