BARANGAY ORDINANCE NO.

AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE COLLECTION AND SCHEDULE OF WATER IN THE BARANGAY OF [NAME
OF BARANGAY]

WHEREAS, the Barangay of [Name of Barangay] has been experiencing a water shortage problem due to
the increasing demand for water and the limited water supply; and

WHEREAS, it is essential to ensure the equitable distribution of water among the residents of the
barangay and to prevent waste and inefficiencies in the collection and use of water;

NOW, THEREFORE, the Sangguniang Barangay of [Name of Barangay] hereby ordains as follows:

ARTICLE I: PURPOSE

The purpose of this ordinance is to regulate the collection and schedule of water in the Barangay of
[Name of Barangay] to ensure an efficient and equitable distribution of water among its residents.

ARTICLE II: DEFINITIONS

For purposes of this ordinance, the following terms shall have the following meanings:

"Water Collection" refers to the collection of water from the barangay's water supply system, including
but not limited to household connections, fire hydrants, and other water sources.

"Schedule" refers to the designated time and date for water collection.

"Water User" refers to any person, natural or juridical, who uses or consumes water from the barangay's
water supply system.

ARTICLE III: SCHEDULE FOR WATER COLLECTION


A. The schedule for water collection shall be as follows:

Residential areas: Water collection shall be done every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:00 AM
to 10:00 AM.

Commercial areas: Water collection shall be done every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 10:00
AM to 2:00 PM.

Public areas: Water collection shall be done every Sunday from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

B. The schedule may be adjusted or modified as necessary by the Barangay Council.

ARTICLE IV: RESTRICTIONS ON WATER COLLECTION

A. Water collection shall be restricted during peak hours (10:00 AM to 2:00 PM) on weekdays.

B. Water collection shall be prohibited during declared water emergencies or when the barangay's water
supply system is under maintenance or repair.

C. Water users shall not collect or store more water than their allocated amount as determined by the
Barangay Council.

ARTICLE V: ENFORCEMENT

A. The Barangay Tanod and other authorized personnel shall be responsible for enforcing this ordinance.

B. Violations of this ordinance shall be punishable by a fine of [amount] or imprisonment for [number]
days, or both.
ARTICLE VI: EFFECTIVITY

This ordinance shall take effect on [date] and shall be enforced by the Barangay Council and its
authorized personnel.

ARTICLE VII: REPEALING CLAUSE

All ordinances, rules, and regulations inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed.

ARTICLE VIII: SEPARABILITY CLAUSE

If any provision of this ordinance is declared invalid or unconstitutional by a court of law, such provision
shall be severed from the rest of the ordinance, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force
and effect.
