Job Summary: Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Engineer will provide monitoring of Central Utility Plants Operations and Maintenance that includes major mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipments installed and will be installed in KAUST which includes study of all MEP drawings and project execution by maintaining proper quality check and measure sheets.

Major Responsibilities: Verifies that construction confirms to MEP design and requirements and reviewing contracts, specification, drawing and all related HVAC systems. Control and monitor all MEP activities of consultants and contractors and to ensure these activities are in accordance with approved drawing and specifications. Monitors the installation and start-up of MEP systems and commissioning of the project, Responsible for monitoring the day-to-day operation of mechanical, electrical and plumbing under the Utilities Scope. Coordinates all issues of MEP under the Utilities Scope with Service Provider for resolution. Attends coordination meeting between maintenance and operations to ensure that Preventive Maintenance (PM) of MEP and equipments is performed according to schedule and standards including Project Management Team, Commissioning and Facilities Management. Conducts technical review of upgrades and modifications and help in the decision making process. Provides technical consultations on issues related to several categories of MEP systems. Maintains relevant mandatory International Engineering Standards and Material Specifications. Assists with MEP installation, troubleshooting and repair as needed. Monitors work flows and schedules with designated contractors. Provides technical knowledge and experience in the operation of all MEP systems. Assists in making technical decisions regarding MEP issues and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations (NEC, NEMA, NFPA, ASHRAE, ANSI, ASME and International standards). Assists in emergency situation like power outages and system abnormality in quickest possible time. Monitors Service Provider Performance during repair or shutdown of any MEP systems. Evaluates work performed by employees and contractors. Must be able to maintain records and report on daily basis to Technical Support Manager.

Can work with minimum supervision. Provides common administrative duties such as purchase supplies, ensure adequate inventory, plan budgets, prioritize purchases, prepare cost estimates and document their purchases and keep records of MEP operations and evaluating employees. Skills
Technical Skills Extensive knowledge and familiarity with all mechanical engineering standard Ability to apply an engineering analysis and appraisal to maintenance techniques Non-Technical Skills or Attributes Fluent in written and spoken English. Required Experience Minimum 5 years experience in MEP Operation and Maintenance of Industrial Plants, Residential or commercial buildings. Must have a valid driving license.

Education
Bachelors Degree in Engineering.
