BATTLE OF THE DRUMBEATS


Contest Rules and Mechanics
Beat battles are the sonic battlegrounds where music producers showcase their skills, creativity, and
originality.

PARTICIPANT’S ELIGIBILITY AND REGISTRATION


1. The group or band must be a registered member of One Beat.
2. Each group/band can be composed of all male, all female, or mixed with a
minimum of 25 members and maximum of 30 members.
3. Registration is REQUIRED. Accomplished registration form should be done and
submitted on or before December 17, 2023 (Sunday).
4. Participants are requested to be at the venue at least one hour before the official
start of the event. The organizers reserve the right not to allow participants who
will come late during the actual event.

SPECIFIC CONTEST GUIDELINES


1. The contest will commence on December 18, 2023 (Monday), 2:30 pm at Veterans Park.
2. Groups must abide by the eligibility of Battle of the Drumbeats competition.
3. Each group must perform ONE (1) CHRISTMAS SONG and TWO (2) MUSIC/SONGS of
their own choice.
4. Unruly behavior during the event is a ground for disqualification.
5. Each band is given five (5) minutes setup time before their performance.
6. Each band will be allowed to perform for a maximum of ten (10) minutes.
7. Judging and time count shall commence from the start of the first beat excluding entry into the
performance area. All performances must not exceed ten (10) minutes. Ten (10) points shall be
deducted from the total score if the duration of the performance is not within the time limit.
8. The sequence of group performance will be via draw lots.
9. Protests are prohibited and will not be accepted regarding any score or result of a decision.
10. No coach, coordinator, band leader and the like shall be allowed to go near the judges.
11. Discrepancies in the Rules and/or Competition: Any problem or discrepancy during a
competition will be brought to the attention of the competition organizer who will address it
with the Head Judge, and/or event committee, and the respective decision(s) made will be
final.
12. The decision of the Board of Judges is final and irrevocable.
