ENGLISH MANUAL

Introduction
A GSM PIR motion detector with remote control and touch keypad for programming.
Once the PIR detects movement the PIR will auto dial the 3 programmed telephone numbers (one by
one) with your pre-recorded message, together with activating a built in siren (This can be silenced if
necessary). It will send a SMS as a last resort if no one answers (see receiving a telephone call
section for more information). The PIR can also pair with additional internal and external sirens to
increase the effectiveness of your security.

If you have a constant red LED on the front of the UltraPIR this indicates that the batteries
need to be changed

Battery and SIM card installation


1) Open the battery cover by removing the screw at the bottom of the unit. Insert 3 x AA batteries
(supplied). Once the last battery is installed a beep will be sounded as an indication that the batteries
are installed correctly.

2) The red LED on the front will light up if the batteries are low.

3) Sim Card Installation

** Please follow these steps closely as incorrect Sim Card installation can cause damage to
the UltraPIR. **

(Please note this does not work on the 3 Mobile Network)

Insert the Largest (Standard) Sim Card into the slot on the right hand edge of the PIR. Press the SIM
card into the slot with the contacts facing the front and with the angled corner at the top left hand
corner, push the card all the way in using your thumb nail to push it in, until the end of the card is flush
with the side of the unit, you should hear a click as it locks into place. To remove press on the end and
it will pop out.

4) This alarm does not support SIM card verification. Do not use PIN codes. If you are using a brand
new or existing SIM card please make sure the SIM card works in your mobile phone and you
are able to make calls and to send text messages, if it is unable to do so then you will not
receive any calls and/or texts.

Programming the remote fob
1) Press and hold the learn button on the back of the PIR.
2) Press the learn button on the back of the remote control (unscrew the compartment)
3) 2 beeps will be sounded.
4) The red LED on the front will flash.
5) The code is paired with the unit and the remote control successfully.

The remote control can be deleted from the PIR by holding the learn button on the back of the PIR and
inserting the last battery, 3 beeps will be heard, this indicates the remote control has been deleted
successfully

Activating the keypad


Under disarm mode, press the learn button on the PIR to activate the keypad. If no button is pressed
for 15 seconds the keypad will be locked again automatically. The keypad will still be locked when the
PIR is armed with the remote.

Recording a voice message


1) Under disarm mode, activate keypad by pressing the learn button and then press #1#
2) Start recording your message for a maximum of 6 seconds. Speak closely into the microphone just
below the keypad.
3) Once the PIR is triggered it will auto dial the programmed numbers and play the message.

Programming the phone numbers


Under disarm mode, activate keypad by pressing the learn button, let’s assume your number is
01234567890 as an example
1) Press * 1 01234567890 * to store the first number.
2) Press * 2 01234567890 * to store the second number.
3) Press * 3 01234567890 * to store the third number.

One, two or three numbers can be stored up to a maximum of seventeen digits each number.
To delete stored numbers press *1* for the first number *2* or *3* for the second and third numbers.
Please note you may need to prefix the telephone numbers with a country code with some SIM cards.

Silent mode setting
To deactivate the siren (the alarm will be silent when triggered)
1) Under disarm mode, activate keypad by pressing the learn button and then press #7#
2) One beep will be sounded.

To reactivate the siren (the siren will sound when triggered)


1) Under disarm mode, activate keypad by pressing the learn button and then press #7#
2) Two beeps will be sounded.

To deactivate the beep from when the alarm is triggered


1) Under disarm mode, activate keypad by pressing the learn button and then press #6#
2) One beep will be sounded.

To reactivate the beep from when the alarm is triggered


1) Under disarm mode, activate keypad by pressing the learn button and then press #6#
2) Two beeps will be sounded.

Activating / deactivating text message function


To deactivate text message function (the PIR will not send texts but dial only when triggered).
1) Under disarm mode, activate keypad by pressing the learn button and then press #9#
2) One beep will be sounded.

To reactivate text message function (the PIR will send texts and dial when triggered)
1) Under disarm mode, activate keypad by pressing the learn button and then press #9#
2) Two beeps will be sounded.

Activating / deactivating calling function


To deactivate the call out function (the PIR will not call any numbers but will text only when triggered)
1) Under disarm mode, press the learn button followed by #8#
2) One beep will be sounded.

To reactivate the call out function (the PIR will text and dial when triggered)
1) Under disarm mode, press the learn button followed by #8#
2) Two beeps will be sounded.

Installing the PIR


The PIR has a maximum detection range of 10 metres, with a detection angle of 90 degrees vertically
and 120 degrees horizontally.

Arming the PIR
Press the ON (or ARM) button on the remote fob.
One beep will be sounded to indicate the PIR is armed.
The alarm will become active after 30 seconds to allow exiting of the vicinity.

Disarming the PIR


Press the OFF (or CLR) button on the remote fob.
One beep will be sounded to indicate the PIR is disarmed.

Receiving a telephone call

** PLEASE NOTE THAT IT MAY TAKE UP TO 1 MINUTE TO RECEIVE A CALL **


Please make sure your answer machine or voicemail is not operational as the PIR will think that the
call has been answered and will play the message which will cost you money in credit and for listening
to your voicemail and it will delay the next number from being dialled to alert you of an alarm. Once the
alarm is triggered it will call up to three designated telephone numbers.
The PIR will call for an estimated time of 25-30 seconds (may differ for each network) before moving
onto the next number. Upon receiving the call you have the option to;
Press # on the receiving telephone, which will disarm the alarm and prevent it calling any of the other
telephone numbers.
Press * on the receiving telephone, which will prevent the alarm from calling any other telephone
numbers but the alarm will remain armed.

There is no option to dial into the PIR to Re-Arm it.

When 3 telephone numbers are entered, each number will receive 1 call & 1 SMS.
When 2 telephone numbers are entered, the first number will receive 2 calls and 1 SMS, the second
number will receive 1 call and 1 SMS.
When 1 telephone numbers are entered, it will receive 3 calls and 1 SMS.

Pairing with other devices


The UltraPIR is a master unit and can be paired with additional sirens.
To do this you need to carry out the standard learning process with the remote control with the other
sirens which will make them part of the same network.
