PROPOSAL TO IMPLEMENT CODING, ROBOTICS AND AI PROGRAM


WITH BEST IN CLASS LAB FROM GRADE 3 TO 10
1. Introduction
With an increased focus on technology, coding,robo5cs and AI has become an important subject
for everyone to understand. Worldwide, schools are introducing coding in their classrooms, and
students are being taught the basic concepts of coding from an early age. There are so many
reasons that coding is important to learn, and the benefits extend beyond the computer.

The workforce is shiBing and individuals with skills in computer science and computer
programming are highly valued and sought aBer. The earlier children learn to code, the beCer
their chance at success.

These days’ children have access to so many different types of programs. There is something for
everyone’s interests. From the arts to music to science and math, kids have opportuni5es to
explore a variety of subjects to find their niche.

Teaching robo5cs to young students throughout their schooling can increase their ability to be
crea5ve and innova5ve thinkers and more produc5ve members of society. By teaching our
students the basics of robo5cs, we can open a whole new world to them and exci5ng
opportuni5es that they wouldn’t have access to otherwise.

This will help students with the concept of innova5on and interac5ve learning process and results,
not only in beCer concept framing and beCer educa5on but in the levels of enhanced
performance and learning levels as well. The blended teaching & learning approach of the coding,
AI, STEM & Robo5cs project will develop smart thinking skills as well as an ac5vity-based
environment to learn for learners of secondary school students.

1.1 Advantages of Learning AI and Robo5cs for Kids

2. Capacity Building, Competitions, Monitoring
We propose implemen5ng Coding, Ar5ficial Intelligence, and Robo5cs educa5on for classes 3-10
to understand prac5cal concepts of Coding, Science, and Mathema5cs by ‘learning by doing, an
approach where students will be facilitated with hands-on experiments.
The larger aim is to prepare students for the future, by introducing and exposing them to essen5al
world skills; to get them to think out of the box, break boundaries—and make something unique
in the process! The curriculum and the project ac5vi5es majorly cover the following topics:
Key ac5vi5es involved in the program are:

1. Se]ng up AI & Robo5cs Lab


2. Training of students
3. Compe55ons and Events
4. Monitoring

2.1. Se'ng up Ar.ficial and Robo.cs Lab


DURSIKSHYA will establish dedicated AI and Robo5cs labs (If School Interested) in the schools with
a wide variety of equipment available for learning by doing approach for the students. Robo5cs
& AI Labs will help the department to create and build an Innova5ve Science Centre and Prac5cal-
based learning areas in each school covered under this project. Each Lab will have a range of
learning kits of AI, Robo5cs, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathema5cs) to
innovate and build unique products solu5ons.

2.2. Capacity Building of Students


DURSIKSHYA will provide capacity building for Students throughout the session in-campus
capacity building program, to enable Students to further impart training to students, for
compe55on prepara5on and exhibi5on. The students will use the technology
integra5on to inspire students to become creators of their own learning, by incorpora5ng
21st-century skills such as crea5vity and cri5cal thinking.

2.3. Compe..on and Events


DURSIKSHYA will provide opportuni5es for students to par5cipate in Na5onal and Interna5onal
compe55ons like Codeavour. These compe55ons will act as opportuni5es for students to test
their learning and create innova,j5ve projects.

DURSIKSHYA will help organize the AI Innova5on Fes5val - an intra-school compe55on for
students at the end of the year to showcase their projects to other students and get rewards
and recogni5on for their efforts.

2.4. Monitoring
DURSIKSHYA, with its learning management system, will monitor the learning of each student
and will provide reports to the school.
3. Key Project Result Areas and Indicators (Outcome Level)
The key result areas will be:

● Make learning interac5ve, effec5ve, and interes5ng for students

● Facilitate overall development of the students by providing them access to the world of
informa5on and modern teaching methodologies

● Focus on tradi5onal methodologies of learning delivered through futuris5c technologies


but with a clear focus on learning outcomes

● To impart training for students in computa5onal-thinking, problem-solving, ar5ficial


intelligence, robo5cs, and programming concepts, using the AI & Coding plahorm and
Robo5cs, in a fun-filled, engaging and effec5ve manner.

● Encourage students to become creators of their own learning by incorpora5ng 21st-


century skills such as crea5vity and cri5cal thinking.

● Develop basic skills required to build and accomplish whatever task or job is assigned in
the future - math skills, science skills, technology skills, art and craB skills, computer skills,
and 21st-century skills.

● To be able to troubleshoot or strategize. The ability to logically aCack a problem to come


up with a viable solu5on is natural to some but not all.

4. AI & Robotics Lab & Equipment


DURSIKSHYA will set up an Ar5ficial Intelligence Lab which aims to create an ecosystem to foster
learning, crea5vity, and innova5on in Ar@ficial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Robo@cs. The
lab will be used for:

1. Conduc5ng live sessions


2. Conduc5ng workshops and events
3. Showcase of projects by students for visitors

The lab equipment will be fully managed by the School. If more students are required to be
trained in the lab, DURSIKSHYA will set up addi5onal classrooms or mobile labs for this purpose.
Mobile labs consist of tablets and hardware devices in a compact box, which the instructor can
carry to the classes and conduct training sessions in the classroom itself. This can be implemented
for classes 3-10. This will minimize the need for infrastructure for the school.
5. Curriculum & Training for Students
5.1 Curriculum

DURSIKSHYA has a created yearlong curriculum for Classes 3-10 in alignment with Industry
Standard. The curriculum is experien5al learning focused and will cover, the basics and advanced
level of programming, Robo5cs and IoT, Ar5ficial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
The curriculum is aligned with Industry Standard and covers the all curriculum for Coding & AI Skill
subjects.

5.2 Training of Students


DURSIKSHYA will appoint teachers for student training on the curriculum. The student training
will be conducted in the following method:

● Students will have 72 teaching sessions (2 class of 60 minutes weekly) per year.
● Each year, students will make capstone projects where they will be given problem
statements to work on, based on their learning from the curriculum.
● Students will have 5 addi5onal sessions for doubt clearing, exhibi5on & presenta5ons.
● Students will get cer5ficates aBer comple5on of each year which will be accredited by
STEM.org.
DURSIKSHYA will be responsible for the following:

● Encouraging and conduc5ng orienta5on sessions for students related to exhibi5ons,


na5onal and interna5onal compe55ons throughout the year.
● Mentoring students on capstone projects
● Managing the student course progress report quarterly and yearly.

6.1 Annual AI Innova.on Fes.val
DURSIKSHYA will organize the Annual AI Innova5on Fes5val in the schools.
ABer student training is completed, students will be given the opportunity to take part in the AI
Innova5on Fes5val where students will use their knowledge to build innova5ve AI solu5ons on
the given problem statement. Students will work on the problem statement for 1 month and then
submit their projects.

7. Scope of Work and Financials
DURSIKSHYA will implement the new-age subjects as per the Industry Standard in the school to

Devices, and many more by ‘focusing on the development of the crea4ve poten4al of each
individual.

7.1 DURSIKSHYA’ Scope of Work


1. DURSIKSHYA will provide the training for all age group which school allows for.
2. DURSIKSHYA will provide all the educa5on materials (Tutorials) for students, provide
aCendance details to school and school can check the progress of every students with
school login in our portal..
3. DURSIKSHYA in collabora5on with the school, will conduct the Annual AI Innova@on
Fes@val as described in above.

7.2 Requirement from School


1. The school will provide the area to set up the lab and conduct the Annual AI Innova5on
Fes5val.
2. Internet access in the lab
3. The school will provide a 72 minimum class to students of class 3-10 in an year. We
recommend that the school merge these sessions with IT/Computer classes for the
students.
