WHOLE NUMBERS
Lesson 1: Multi-Digit Multiplication
Math Relay Race
Materials: Printout of problems, baton
Instruction: Divide the students into teams and set up a relay race where each team member solves a
multi-digit multiplication problem before passing the baton to the next team member. The team that
completes all the problems correctly and finishes the race first wins.
Lesson 2: Division of 3- to 4- digit numbers by 1- to 2- digit numbers

Lesson 3: Order of Operations

Operation Challenge: Divide the class into small groups and provide each group with a set of number
cards and operation cards (+, -, ×, ÷). Give them a target number, and students must use the cards to
create an expression that evaluates to the target number. Emphasize the use of the order of operations.
The group that correctly creates the expression wins the round.
Lesson 4: Exponential Notation
Exponent Tower Challenge: Give each student or group a set of index cards or sticky notes with
different base numbers and exponents. Challenge them to create the tallest exponent tower by arranging
the cards in ascending order of magnitude. This activity reinforces the concept of exponential growth.
NUMBER THEORY
Lesson 1: Prime and Composite Numbers
Prime Number Trail: Create a number line on the floor or use masking tape to mark numbers on the
ground. Ask students to physically walk along the number line, identifying each number as prime or
composite. This kinesthetic activity engages students and reinforces their recognition of prime and
composite numbers.
Example only

Lesson 2: Divisibility Rules

Divisibility Rule Tic-Tac-Toe: Create a tic-tac-toe grid with numbers instead of Xs and Os. To claim a
square, students need to state whether the number is divisible by a specific rule and explain why. The
first student to get three squares in a row wins the game.
Lesson 3: Greatest Common Factor (GCF)
Factor Frenzy: Give each student or group a number, and have them list all the factors of that number.
Then, challenge them to find the GCF between their number and another student's number. Students can
compare their factors and determine the GCF collaboratively.
Lesson 4: Least Common Multiple (LCM)
LCM race: divide the class into two. The two groups will race each other in finding the least common
multiples of 2 different rows of numbers.
FRACTIONS
Lesson 1: Changing improper fraction to mixed number and vice versa

Lesson 2: Fractions in simplest form

Fraction Card Game: Create a deck of cards with different fractions written on them. Students take turns
drawing cards and simplifying the fractions. The player with the highest simplified fraction wins the
round. Play multiple rounds to determine the overall winner.
Carlos Felipe W. Mendoza BEED 2 - B
Lesson 3: Addition of Dissimilar fractions and mixed number

Lesson 4: Subtraction of Dissimilar fractions and mixed number

Lesson 5: Multiplication of Fractions

Lesson 6: Division of Fractions

RATIO AND PROPORTION

Lesson 1: Ratio
Recipe Ratios: Provide students with a set of recipes and ask them to identify the ratios of ingredients.
They can calculate and compare the ratios for different recipes to understand how ratios are used in
cooking.
Lesson 2: Equivalent and Simplest Form of Ratio
Ratio Maker: Create cutouts of different objects. Hand them out to students. Ask different students to
pick different amounts of the object. Let them write it out as a ratio and then simplify it.
Lesson 3: Kinds of Proportion
Create a chart with a variety of proportions, it must have pictures of the proportions too. Let the students
identify and label each proportion by sticking the label under it.
PERCENT
Lesson 1: Visualizing Percent
Cutouts of four different fruits, and a grid chart. Make a grid and some cutouts of four different
fruits. Put the cutouts on a table. Let the students line up and stick the fruit they like into the grid.
This will visualize the percentage of the fruits the students like.
Lesson 2: Percentage, Base, and Rate

Lesson 3: Discount, Simple Interest, and Commission

INTEGERS
Lesson 1: Concept of Integers
Have a chart of with different situations for integers, a number line, and cutouts of arrows. A student
will read one of the situations and use the arrow cutouts to indicate where the integer should be for the
sentence.
Lesson 2: Comparing and Arranging Integers
Materials: Integer cards, string, and rope or clothesline
Group by 5s. Each group will be given a set of cards. Arrange the integers from least to greatest by
hanging them on a string. The first group to finish wins.
Lesson 3: Adding and Subtracting Integers

Lesson 4: Multiplying and Dividing Integers

DECIMALS
Lesson 1: Visualization of Decimals
Carlos Felipe W. Mendoza BEED 2 - B

Lesson 2: Change Decimals to fraction and vice versa

Lesson 3: Place value and value of decimals

Lesson 4: Rounding Decimals

Lesson 5: Comparing decimals

Lesson 6: Addition and Subtraction of Decimals

Lesson 7: Multiplication of Decimals

Lesson 8: Division of Decimals

GEOMETRY
Lesson 1: Angles
Materials: Paper clock, protractor
Instruction: Have printouts that have different times on them. Let the students find the degree
measure of angles formed by the clocks at the time listed.
Lesson 2: Triangles
Materials: Clay and sticks
Instruction: Let the students create different types of triangles using the clay and sticks. When
they are finished Let them describe their triangles.
Lesson 3: Quadrilaterals

Lesson 4: Circles

MEASUREMENT
Lesson 1: Elapsed Time

Materials: Cutouts for digital and analog clock

Divide students into small groups and ask each group to think about an event in their life that takes some
time. It could be going to school, having dinner, attending a dance class, or brushing their teeth.

Provide each group with cutouts that have 2 spaces. One for a digital clock and for an analog clock with
no hands, and ask them to draw the face of an analog clock and a digital timer. They should draw what
the clock and timer look like at the beginning and end of the event.

Then, they need to figure out how much time passes between the beginning and end of the event. They
can calculate the elapsed time and share their drawings and calculations with the rest of the class.

Lesson 2: Speed, Distance, Time

Materials: Table chart
Carlos Felipe W. Mendoza BEED 2 - B
Instruction: Prepare a table which has 3 columns, speed, time, and distance. Asl students to fill up some
of the spaces based on their travels but leave some columns blank. The remaining blank columns will be
solved by the students in pairs.
Lesson 3: Perimeter

Materials: Candy and rulers

Instructions
You can use any candy that you like. Have your students surround the perimeter of an object with the
candy of your choice and have them record their data. Try to do this with several objects (i.e., candles,
jars, or whatever else). When your students are done, reward them with the treats.
Lesson 4: Circumference
Materials: Different sizes of cans and containers, different circular cutouts (pizza, pie, tires, etc.)

INTRO TO ALGEBRA
Lesson 1: Sequence
Materials: Table chart with a sequence of cutouts of different stuff
Instruction: The table chart will have a variety of objects with sequences but some will be skipped or left
blank. The students will have to fill it up with the messing objects.
Lesson 2: Number Sentence
Materials: Chart with number sentences, cutouts of symbols.
Instruction: The chart will have number sentences and their final answers but will missing symbols and
numbers. The students will have to work together to fill up the blanks.
Lesson 3: Expression and Equation

STATISTICS AND PROBABILITY

Lesson 1: Double Bar Graph
Materials: Construction paper, scissors, cutout of tables for activity
Instruction: Group the students into 5. Give each group a cutout of a table with some data. Ask each
group to construct a double bar graph using the data in the table. The first group who finishes first
winds.
Lesson 2: Line Graph
Materials: Different flavors of candy
Instructions
Prepare different flavors of candy. Put the different flavors of candy in front of the students. Tell the
students to line up depending on their favorite flavor. Let the students count the number of students for
each flavor and let them represent it in a table. Give them the candy afterwards.

Lesson 3: Pie Graph

Group the students into 5 groups. Provide each group of students with a set of data related to a specific
topic, such as favorite colors or types of pets. Instruct them to create a pie graph using the data. They
can use colored pencils, markers, or computer software to design their graphs.
