Taking Table Reservation (Telephone Conversation)
Attendant: (Answer the telephone in two to three rings) Good Afternoon! Thank you for calling
Travelers table Restaurant, this is _____ speaking, how may I help you ma'am/sir?
Attendant: I am glad to assist you with your reservation. May I have your name, please?
Attendant: when would you like to book your reservation table ma’am/ sir and what exact
timer?
Guest: okay
Attendant: the time of your reservation is available ma’am, may I ask for a table for how many
people, please?
Attendant: Okay ma’am, do you have any seating preferences? For example, indoor or outdoor
seating, window seating, etc.
Attendant: Thank you. May I also have a contact number, in case we need to reach you about
the reservation?
Attendant: okay, ma’am do you have any special requests for your reservation?
Guest: None
Attendant: Thank you for your reservation, (Customer Name). We look forward to seeing you
on October 9, 20204 at 12 pm. If you need to make any changes or have any questions, please
feel free to call us back.

- the attendant must answer the phone within 3 rings
- Smile when they are talking to people even in phone calls
- Speak clearly
- Give a suitable greeting
- Active listening and taking notes
- Remain cheerful
- Close conversation politely
