Reporter: During a House of Representatives hearing on September 4, Cassandra Ong

faced criticism for her behavior while being questioned about her role in Lucky South 99,
a company involved in illegal POGO (online gambling) operations. Although she admitted
to being an authorized representative of the company, she denied any involvement in its
illegal activities.

Lawmakers were frustrated by Ong’s refusal to answer some questions and her habit of
interrupting them. Lanao del Sur Rep. Zia Alonto Adiong called her out, saying she was
acting “pa-cute” and asked her to let them finish their questions without interruptions.

“Warrant of arrest to Pastor Apollo Quiboloy”

Anchor 2 : The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Region 11 served an arrest warrant
to the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder, Pastor Quiboloy, at the KOJC compound
in Davao City. We will provide updates on this in a live report.

Reporter : The NBI served the arrest warrant outside the KOJC. Attorney Israelito Torean
received the arrest warrant from the NBI and accompanied the NBI personnel inside the
KOJC compound. The media was not allowed to enter the compound. In contrast to the
serving of the arrest warrant on June 10, when many KOJC members were outside the
compound, this time it was peaceful. Previously, many supporters were guarding outside
the compound, but now they have left, and their tents have been removed. Several NBI
vehicles are parked outside the KOJC compound in Buhangin, Davao City, but no police
personnel are currently visible. As of now, Nikki the NBI is still inside the KOJC
compound, the authorities are maintaining a peaceful approach, hoping to resolve the

in the Philippines’ 200-nautical-mile exclusive economic zone, not the whole of the South

Reporter : The Philippine Navy has detected over 200 Chinese vessels in the West
Philippine Sea, with the highest concentration at Sabina Shoal. This is the largest number
recorded this year. Rear Admiral Roy Vincent Trinidad downplayed the situation, stating it
was within expected fleet deployment capabilities. Tensions between the Philippines and
China over the West Philippine Sea persist despite a 2016 international tribunal ruling
invalidating China’s territorial claims.

Reporter : Tropical Storm Enteng left the Philippine Area of Responsibility on September
4, 2024, but continues to intensify the southwest monsoon. Located 265 kilometers west
northwest of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, it has slightly intensified with maximum sustained
winds at 100 km/h and gustiness up to 125 km/h. At least 10 people have died due to
Enteng, causing severe flooding and landslides in the Philippines. Moderate to intense
rain is expected in parts of Luzon, and PAGASA issued a gale warning on September 4 and
5.
