Measures of Central Tendency

This document discusses various measures of central tendency (types of averages) including: 1. Arithmetic mean - the sum of all values divided by the total number of values. Simple, weighted, discrete, and continuous arithmetic means are defined. 2. Median - the middle value of a data set when values are arranged in order. Methods for calculating median in individual, discrete, and continuous data sets are provided. 3. Harmonic mean - the reciprocal of the arithmetic mean of the reciprocals of the data values. Formulas for calculating harmonic mean in discrete and continuous data sets are given.
