Hi there, this document is not generic, it’s exclusive to 6 years of my experience in UX design. I hope you
find some value in it and prepare yourself to rock the next interview.

INTERVIEW PROCESS (POV : Targeting MNCs for Senior and Mid Senior Roles)
1. Introduction (L1)
● What kinda design tools are you familiar with ? They are gonna mention the tool they would want
you to use. DO NOT LIE if you don’t know the tool they mentioned. 90% of the cases it’s Figma.
● Take me through your design process (Very Crucial)
● Portfolio Review (15 mins)
● Any deep question can be asked from the case studies of your portfolio, so make sure you don’t
fake it
● Is there any particular design framework or process you follow ?
● How much would you rate yourself in UX design ?
● Questions on adaptability, identification of user pain points, flows, journeys
● How much time do you spend on each task ?
● How do you share your files with the engineering team ?
A. White Board Challenge that is in-person immediate problem solving, it won’t usually exceed more than
30 mins
B. Take Home Design Challenge that is basically an assignment you will be given and you have to finish
and submit in a week's time. Sometimes the companies ask you for how much time you would require to
finish up the task, you can communicate accordingly.
They basically wanna see your design approach and thinking patterns.
4. Behavioral and Attitude (L4)
You will have a call with the Head of Design Department for final discussions. He is again gonna filter you
based on your design knowledge, thought process, attitude and execution pattern. Be as transparent as
you can.
Congratulations! There you go. Research about the market really well and quote a salary that is realistic
and fair to your experience and expertise. Don’t over quote or under quote!
If you’re preparing yourself according to this, the fresher and associate level jobs will be a piece of cake
for you.
This process is usually followed in Product Based Firms, the difference in Service Based Firms is, they
only conduct L1 round and if you get selected, they send you to the client (Product Based Company) for
the rest of the rounds.
Questions you should be asking in return when asked (Do you have any questions for us?)
