2.1.INTERROGATIVE SENTENCES (Qsts): Used to ask something, and end with a
question mark (?).
- Do you play sports? - When is the game? - Who scored the goal? - Can we play
tennis today?
3.1.IMPERATIVE SENTENCES (Commands): Used to give orders or requests, they
begin with a verb in conjugated in the imperative, and may end with a period (.) or an
exclamation mark (!).
- Kick the ball! - Run faster. - Pass to your teammate. - Watch the
game.
4.1.. EXCLAMATORY SENTENCES (Strong Feelings): They show excitement or
strong emotion, they end with an exclamation mark (!). For example:
- What a great game! - That was an amazing goal! - Wow, she runs so fast!
2. SENTENCES STRUCTURE: Sentences are either composed of an Independent clause,
or a Dependent Clause , or both.
- Independent clause: Stands alone as a sentence and contains a subject and a verb and
expresses a complete idea.
-Dependent clause: Not a complete sentence and must be attached to an independent
clause to become complete.

example:

2.2. COMPOUND SENTENCES: They contain Two independent clauses joined by a
comma (,) and a coordinating conjunction (FANBOYS: for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so). For
example:

3. COMPLEX SENTENCES: They contain one independent clause and one dependent
clause. For example:

4. COMPOUND-COMPLEX SENTENCES: it contains two independent clauses and one
or more dependent clauses. For example:
