Q.36. Students of Grade 3rd, planned to plant saplings along
straight lines, parallel to each other to one side of the play-
ground ensuring that they had enough play area. Let us
assume that they planted one of the rows of the saplings along the line y = x - 4. Let L be
the set of all lines which are parallel on the ground and R be a relation on L.

Q.38. A building contractor undertakes a job to construct 4 flats on a plot along with the
parking area. Due to strike the probability of many
construction workers not being present for the job is 0.65.
The probability of given that many are not present and still
the work get completed on times is 0.35. The probability that
work will be completed on time when all workers are present
is 0.80.
Let : Represent the event when many workers were not
present for the job;
: Represent the event when all workers were present, and
: Represent completing the construction work on time.
Based on the above information answer the following questions.
(i) What is the probability that all the workers are present for the job and construction
work is completed on time.
(ii) What is the probability that many workers are not present given that the
construction work is completed on time ?
