E-SIP

Good afternoon everyone. I’m Sara Joy L. Bernales and I will be

reporting Enhanced School Improvement Plan.

1. What is a School Improvement Plan or SIP

In summary, the SIP is a vital tool for improving school performance,

ensuring accountability, and promoting the holistic development of
learners in alignment with DepEd's broader educational mission.
the Enhanced School Improvement Plan (E-SIP) is a forward-looking, data-
driven, and participatory plan that not only addresses local school issues but
also aligns with DepEd’s broader educational vision as laid out in the Basic
Education Development Plan 2030. The E-SIP ensures that every school
contributes to achieving national education goals while addressing its unique
challenges.

SIP before is 3 years, 3 pillars (Access, Quality, Equity)

The School Head as acting Chair, with the assistance from the Technical
Secretariat, has the prerogative to designate personnel and relevant
stakeholders to complete the School Planning Team (SPT)
The technical secretariat shall participate and assist in the development
process through:
1. Preparation of Historical Data on KPIs, Performance, Projections,
situation
2. Provide overall technical and administrative support necessary for the
Planning Team
3. Ensure that all deliverables and agreements are acted upon and
accomplished completely, and in time.

The results framework outlines the priorities of DepEd in terms of addressing

the immediate and long-term challenges confronting basic education.
1. Pillar 1 on Access intends to address the remaining gaps in
participation by expanding learning opportunities of school-age children
and out-of-school youth and adults.
2. Pillar 2 on Equity will focus on addressing the needs of learners in
situations of disadvantage.

3. Pillar 3 on Quality is designed to address the quality of education
through various strategic means, particularly on curriculum,
assessment, learning environment, and upskilling and reskilling of
teachers and school leaders.

Pillar 4 on Resiliency will focus on building resilience among learners

and capacitating them to exercise their rights in a positive learning
environment, while being aware of their responsibilities as individuals
and as members of society.
The Enabling Mechanisms will allow the agency to achieve the results
through the right policies and standards, systems and processes,
human resource professional development, and partnerships.

Risk Management Plan

A risk management plan helps organizations identify all

the potential risks it may face, internal and external both. The plan
typically includes the nature of risk, probability of occurrence,
potential impact and possible course of action. These help
organizations to be clear and well-prepared for the identified risks.
The risk managers also communicate these plans to various
departments within the organization and other stakeholders to ensure
they too are well-prepared and able to respond effectively.
School Self-Assessment and Situational Analysis

 Conduct data gathering (school performance, student achievement,

resources, etc.).

Gap Analysis Template is a tool used by schools to identify the

discrepancies between the current state (what the school is achieving or
providing) and the desired state (what the school aims to achieve or
improve). The purpose of this template is to clearly highlight the gaps or
areas that need improvement, which then inform the action plans within
the E-SIP.

 Analyze current strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.

 Engage stakeholders (teachers, parents, students, local community).

Prioritization of Improvement Areas

 · Identify priority areas aligned with BEDP 2030 goals.

 Use data to rank and select the most critical areas for intervention (e.g.,
learning recovery, teaching competencies, student well-being).

Goal Setting

 · Define specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound

(SMART) goals for each priority area.
 Align these goals with the broader objectives of BEDP 2030 (e.g.,
access, quality, equity).
 Action Plan Development

 · Develop a detailed plan for each identified goal.

o Activities
o Timelines
o Required resources
o Responsible persons/teams

· Stakeholder Consultation and Resource Mobilization

 · Involve key stakeholders (school, parents, local government, NGOs)

to review the plan.
 Secure funding, partnerships, and resources necessary for plan
implementation.

· Implementation of the Action Plan

 · Execute the planned interventions (e.g., teacher training,

infrastructure improvement, student support programs).
 Monitor progress regularly to ensure activities are on track.
 Monitoring and Evaluation

 · Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress.

 Conduct regular assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of
interventions.
 Adjust strategies based on monitoring feedback and changing school
needs.

· Documentation and Reporting

 · Document all actions, decisions, and outcomes.

 Submit regular progress reports to DepEd and stakeholders.
 Make adjustments based on findings and ensure sustainability.

· Continuous Improvement and Adjustments

 · Review the SIP annually, and revise if necessary.

 Maintain alignment with DepEd’s national priorities and adapt to
emerging needs.
