ABSTRACT

Project Title : Zero Hunger

The "Zero Hunger" project aims to bridge the gap between food wastage and
hunger by creating a platform where restaurants, NGOs, and individuals can
collaborate to minimize food wastage and redistribute excess food to those in
need. Leveraging modern web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript,
Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB, our platform offers an easy-to-use interface
for all stakeholders to register, log in, and contribute to this noble cause.

The website facilitates the registration and login of three main user groups:
restaurants, NGOs, and individuals. Upon registration, users can input
information about their food wastage, including type, quantity, and location. The
platform uses MongoDB to store this data securely and efficiently. Our Node.js
and Express.js backend processes this information and identifies the nearest
NGOs that can collect and distribute the surplus food.

Restaurants can log in to update their food wastage details, while NGOs can view
and claim the available food resources. Individuals can also participate by
reporting instances of food wastage they encounter. The platform fosters a
community-driven approach to addressing hunger, where each user plays an
active role in reducing food wastage and ensuring that surplus food reaches those
who need it the most.

By connecting restaurants with NGOs and individuals in real-time, we aim to

create a more efficient and responsive system that can adapt to the dynamic
nature of food wastage and hunger. Through this project, we hope to contribute to
a world where everyone has access to nutritious food, and no food goes to waste.
By focusing on collaboration, technology, and community engagement, "Zero
Hunger" represents a step towards achieving the United Nations Sustainable
Development Goal of Zero Hunger by 2030.
