LOGLINE
A person who enjoys new places, Imee travels
while she is on a quest for her lost identity
and a new place to call her new home.

SYNOPSIS
A young woman travels in a province stranger to her in
pursuit of light for her fading shadows. Along her voyage,
she is met with unnecessary gazes and gossips from the
locals. One day, her fate intertwines with a guy who,
coincidentally, was with her everywhere she went. Desperate
of warmth and comfort, the young woman tried to build a bond
with the guy. Will their love story prevail or will someone
impede it?

Sequence 1
Playground. Characters (children) are playing (sungka, trumpo). Bright morning colors
through the trees.
Distorted Video
Playground. Characters are looking at the camera strangely while playing. Morning.

Black Out

Sequence 2
Indoors. The camera focuses on an eerie cabinet. The cabinet is slightly open, revealing
heirlooms within. Eerie lullaby (Ilocano song) plays in the background.

Blackout

Sequence 3
Inside the cabinet (Blackout). Simulating claustrophobia. Camera shaking with cabinet. (with
muffled screams of Imee) and like a haunting echo.

Sequence 4
Outdoors. Timelapse with people running all over the place. Expressions are anxious and
panicked.

Sequence 5
(repeat sequence 1) now with saturated
Children are still playing but slower with eerie smiles. Distorted video and sound.

They each hold a single red rose and seem to sway in harmony as they glance toward the
camera.

Blackout. Silence

Sequence 6
Playground, distorted video and sound. Zoom in on Josh’s creepy smile(OA grin) .

Fade out

Sequence 7
The camera focuses on dilating with reddish veins around the eyeball.

Sequence 8
A bleeding person touches the camera lens. Blood all over the frame. Sounds of distant
footsteps in the background.

Sequence 9
Reversed footage of the dilating eye. Create a dizzying effect.

Sequence 10
Outdoor. Imee is walking and picks up a stray (something na gamit) from the ground,
tinignan itong parang nahumaling sa gamit na iyon. As she walks the camera follows
zooming in on her (hinahawakan)

Transition

Sequence 11
Outdoor. Night. The camera focuses on a bonfire. People are running or dancing behind the
bonfire (and chanting in Ilocano). Imee watches while strange shadows flicker across her
face.

Fade out

Sequence 12
Stairs. Reversed and time-lapse footage of Imee going down a stair. Parang lasing kung
bumaba sa hagdan.
Transition

Sequence 13
Street. Reverse and time-lapse footage of Imee running to the hospital. (Pouring rain)
Sequence 14
The camera focuses on an eye that is closing. Sound of a faint heartbeat echoes in the
background.

Black Screen

Sequence 15
Eye. A tear drips down as the camera slowly zooms out (vacant expression). The camera
moves away from Imee’s eye.

Sequence 16
Indoors. Distorted video of Imee laughing hysterically head tilting back. Abruptly, she calms
down and closes her eyes (as if dead).

Sequence 17
Street (raining). Imee and Josh walking (camera at the back) with an umbrella. Capturing
them in silence, the rain creating a rhythmic sound.

Sequence 18
Street. (distorted, fast-forwarded) The two characters will turn around and look at the camera
strangely. The camera zooms in on Imee’s eye.

Fade out

Sequence 19
Street. Bird’s eye view of Imee cycling around a rotunda. (edit will try to make it look as if the
rotunda was the eye of Imee from the previous sequence). This scene was edited to
resemble an eye with Imee as the pupil in motion.

Sequence 20
Street. Reversed video of the person cycling. The eye will shut close.

Blackout

Sequence 21
Eye. Pupil dilates. Closes. Blood runs down from the eye.

Blackout

Sequence 22
Black screen. The camera is shaking and muffled screams and noises will be heard.
Mimicking.

Sequence 23
Outdoor. Characters (extras) are in awe (looking at something). Muttering phrases in
Ilocano.
Sequence 24
Outdoor. Distorted video. The characters (extras) suddenly look at the camera strangely. The
camera will fall to the ground.

Sequence 25
Sound: Heavy breathing. Black screen.

Sequence 26
Outdoor. Imee is holding the camera while running. The camera moves away to show Imee
who is running. She stops midway through her run to enjoy the view. The camera then
zooms out to reveal Imee from afar a small figure in the vast landscape

Fade out

Sequence 27
Outdoor. People gaze at her like they are judging him. Josh displays a creepy smile. The
camera zooms into his smile.

Fade out

Sequence 28
Outdoor. Imee cycles around a rotunda and her expression is almost serene. She holds the
sungka in her hand as she rides.

Blackout

Sequence 29
The camera will focus on the face of the character. (distorted and fast-forwarded video) The
character laughs hysterically. (overlay on the same frame: quick flashback of the previous
sequences)

Sequence 30
Outdoor. The camera focuses on the character’s bicycle beside a tomb, a faded Ilocano
inscription barely visible “PAMULINAWEN”
Blackout

Sequence 31
The scene from Sequence 1. The children play once more but stop as Imee approaches, her
expression unsettlingly calm. She turns to face the camera with an eerie smile, her hand
gripping the sungka. Imee picks up her bicycle. She looks directly at the camera and
displays a creepy smile. The camera focuses on the wheel of the bicycle creating a hypnotic
effect.

End Credits
*whistling person sounds*
